Dubai, UAE | November 17, 2025: This year, the UAE will have a 4 Day Eid Al Etihad Holiday for the public sector employees. The official break includes the weekend as Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2, thus, a long weekend. This holiday is to celebrate the spirit of unity with family and friends and to mark a very important moment in the history of the nation.

Eid Al Etihad, which means “Festival of the Union,” is an annual celebration on December 2. It commemorates the historic event in 1971 when the seven emirates came together to form the UAE. This coming together of the emirates is a sign of the country’s strength, heritage, and pride. The holiday is an opportunity for the different communities and generations to get together and appreciate the nation’s past while also being hope for a promising future.

Holiday Details and Festivities

Public sector employees will have December 1st and 2nd as time off with pay. And when the normal weekend is taken into account, the population has a total of four days to rest. This long weekend is ideal for unwinding as well as for participating in the various events that will take place all over the UAE.
