December 3, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: With the red carpet being rolled out at the 54th United Arab Emirates National Day – now known as Eid Al Etihad, Dubai is preparing five-days of festivities, enjoyment, and togetherness with a 5 Day Long Weekend in UAE. 

Cultural parades, fireworks, concerts, workshops filled with heritage to give the 5 day long weekend in UAE, a colorful palette, the city will provide both locals and visitors with a wide range of festivities to remember. 

Granted that you have either come in on a long weekend holiday or you are just keen on taking in the festive mood, here is how you can maximize the remaining five days of celebration.

This 5-Day Long Weekend in UAE Can Be Made Special

The National Day holiday of the UAE is normally a few days. However, this has been a prolonged break of 5 Day Long Weekend in UAE for most residents this year, as people have more time to relax and have a celebration. 

You do not need to hurry up and down between one event and another, as the more time you have, the better. Instead, you can enjoy every moment gradually: there is a parade here, a concert there, some heritage learning in the middle of the day, and fireworks in the night.

  • Parade & Cultural March

Ring in the festivities on the first of December with the grand parade of Eid Al Etihad in City Walk, Dubai. Beginning at approximately 4 PM, more than 1,000 members of the Dubai Police, students, and government will be present there. They will ride majestic horses, marching bands and colorful spectacle that will establish the festive atmosphere.

  • Fireworks, Light shows and Drone shows

On the 2nd of December, the skyline turns into a canvas of light and colour. Where the great figure of Burj Khalifa towers, and waterfronts and tourist destinations, there will be fireworks to shine and drone in UAE-flag colours. 

However, do not spend all your evenings in fireworks, between the 1st December and the 3rd of December, there will be daily night shows across key destinations such as Global village, dubai. Last but not least, in the case of the Global Village: as a visitor to the park, there is a fee to pay the entrance but the drone shows and the fireworks inside are free.

Music fans – put it in your diaries for 5 Day Long Weekend in UAE. The crowd-favourite singer Diana Haddad will play in City Walk on December 1, at 8 PM. The party goes on the following evening where Emirati singer, Shamma Hamdan, performs. It is open air, party-packed and carnival-like under the stars.

When you would rather work at a slower pace- or have fun during the day, the malls in Dubai have a lot of creative things that you can do. Between November 28 and December 3, locations such as City Centre Mirdif will be used to customise tote-bags, showcase pottery, conduct workshops on crafts, cultural performances, and others. To the people who appreciate culture mixed up with fun, it is an excellent means of having fun and heritage in one-basket. 

Concurrently, art, music, and family-oriented events will also be present in the malls like the Ibn Battuta Mall. These cheap and no-charge alternatives are excellent daytime destinations.

One of the most suitable ones: the Etihad Museum for 5 Day Long Weekend in UAE. During the period between 1 and 3 December, the museum will be covered in the UAE-flag colours and become an all-time history centre to immerse into. The visitors get to interact with the interactive installations regarding the history of the union in the country, plant trees, experiment with clay-craft, participate in the heritage performances that also involve traditional dances such as Al Ayala and Al Harbiya and listen to the sounds of loud music.
