November 18, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: As the United Arab Emirates prepares to commemorate its 54th UAE National Day Celebrations officially known as Eid Al Etihad. The Emirate of Sharjah has announced an expansive, two week celebration set to transform its parks, heritage sites and coastal areas into vibrant hubs of national pride. Reflecting the theme of “United” for 2025, Sharjah’s celebratory agenda is a carefully curated tapestry of cultural, artistic and community focused events designed to honour the nation’s history and cement the bonds of its diverse population. 

The comprehensive schedule of events, spanning from November 19 to December 2 confirms Sharjah’s commitment to ensuring that this year anniversary of the nation’s founding in 1971 is an unforgettable public festival. The sheer scale and variety of the officially announced UAE National Day Celebrations underline the emirate’s role as the cultural heart of the Federation.

A Cultural Extravaganza Across the Emirate

The festivities officially kick off on Wednesday, November 19 with the main opening ceremony at the central UAE National Day Celebrations, venue: Al Siyouh Family Park. This park will serve as a focal point for the duration of the celebrations & hosting a packed schedule until December 2. 

The opening event promises a spectacular display, featuring vibrant traditional folk performances, artistic and theatrical segments and interactive competitions for all age groups and insightful youth discussion panels aimed at engaging the nation’s next generation. Parallel to this major parks like Kshisha Park and Sharjah National Park will host daily activities. ensuring the spirit of the Union is accessible to communities across the city.

A significant highlight of this year’s celebration is the addition of Al Layyah Canal as a prominent celebration venue for the first time. Operating from November 28 to December 2. the canal will host a captivating mix of national performances alongside exhibitions showcasing family businesses. 

This strategic expansion of the primary venues, as outlined in the official UAE National Day Celebrations demonstrates Sharjah’s dedication to providing inclusive and widespread access to the anniversary’s events. The meticulous planning ensures that residents and visitors can immerse themselves in the deep cultural resonance of the nation’s journey towards unity and the progress. The sheer volume of concurrent events marks the 54th anniversary as one of the most comprehensive showcases of the UAE National Day Celebrations ever staged in the Emirate.

Eastern Coast and Central Region Highlights

Sharjah’s commitment to inclusive celebrations extends far beyond its city centre with major festivities planned across its coastal and central regions. The East Coast, in particular will host some of the most anticipated events. Khorfakkan Amphitheatre is set to stage a spectacular musical evening on November 29. featuring renowned Emirati singers Hussain Al Jassmi and Fouad Abdelwahad a cultural highlight of the official UAE National Day Celebrations. 

Just days earlier on November 22, the city of Dibba Al Hisn will host a grand National Parade accompanied by a breathtaking fireworks display, drawing large crowds to witness the patriotic spectacle. Kalba will also contribute to the coastal celebrations starting its own annual operetta and fireworks display from November 22.

In the central and desert areas heritage takes centre stage. Al Dhaid will hold a grand parade and a vibrant heritage market from November 26 to 30, celebrating Bedouin traditions and local commerce. Mleiha Heritage Village offers a unique desert ambience experience from November 20 to 21, complete with military bands and authentic folk dances. 

Even the suburban areas are included with Al Hamriyah Heritage Village showcasing traditional songs and classic car exhibitions. This comprehensive geographical distribution ensures that the joy of Eid Al Etihad reaches every corner of the emirate making these particular UAE National Day Celebrations a truly national endeavour that successfully bridges the cultural divide between the city and its surrounding areas.

Fostering Unity and Celebrating National Pride

At its core, the array of UAE National Day Celebrations is not merely a collection of public performances. it is a profound national statement. The celebrations are specifically designed to strengthen community bonds highlight the UAE’s rich cultural heritage, and commemorate the collective progress achieved since the Union in 1971.
