November 25, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: When you visit, or live in, Dubai, you most likely have encountered the card called Nol card – These are the mechanics of it and how you can get the best out of it with rewards with Nol Plus Dubai Card. This is the smart pre-paid travel card by the roads and transport authority (RTA) used in metro, bus, tram, taxi, parking, and so on. However, did you know that now there is such an overlay as the loyalty-programme that is named Nol Plus that transforms your daily commuting into points and benefits. These are the mechanics of it and how you can get the best out of it with rewards with Nol Plus Dubai Card.

What is Nol Plus?

Nol Plus is a rewards mechanism that is superimposed on your Nol card usage. Registering and associating your Nol card with the Nol Plus programme, every ride you take (metro, bus, tram, parking or even taxi / marine) will start accruing you loyalty points. It says that your normal commuting or travelling in Dubai is more than a transiting cost but an earning opportunity.

  • Enroll in the programme: You will have to create your Nol Plus account through the official site or application and attach your Nol card.
  • Use your Nol card: You receive points each time you top-up or tap Nol card to metro, bus, tram, taxi, parking or other partner services.
  • The points are earned on a basis of time: As an example, a transaction can take up to 9 days before showing up in your account.
  • Redeem your points: You can redeem your points to re-top up your Nol card, enjoy discounts in the partner outlets (retailers, restaurants) and other benefits.

In short: travel → earn → redeem.

Why Does the Rewards with Nol Plus Dubai Card Matter

To most of us transportation is a need and not a luxury. That need is compensated by Rewards with Nol Plus Dubai Card. Among the advantages, these are included:

  • It increases the value proposition behind the use of public transport- or even the use of Nol cards to the non-transport services.
  • The frequent users get rewards with Nol Plus Dubai Card to remain loyal to the system and gain additional value.
  • It relates traveling to lifestyle benefits (shopping, dining, partner offers) in order to receive not only a means of transportation.

In a recent campaign by RTA, it was clarified that anyone using his or her Nol card to travel in the metro, tram, bus or marine vessels will get twice the amount of Nol Plus points during the campaign.

Key features and recent updates

The programme was implemented in late 2025, and RTA declared the scheme would be implemented on 21 November 2025.

The terms and conditions present various ways of earning: the use of transit, payments on parking, taxi fare and purchases made by partners and merchants. You have to register and associate your card and the points normally lapse after 12 months of receiving the points.

How to make the best out of your rewards with Nol Plus Dubai Card:

  • Always bring your registered Nol card (vs unlinked or anonymous) to make all the payments of interest- so you can get the full points.
  • Keep watching the amount of points you have earned in the app or site and can redeem it at any convenient time before it goes to waste.
  • Watch out for special promotions (e.g. double-point periods) to speed up earning. One of them is the recent campaign of the Weekend Wanderer.
  • Redeeming not only transit top-ups but also go ahead and see partner retailers, restaurants and other services so your points can be converted to real-life value.
  • When you have several Nol cards (family members, etc.), maybe you want to connect them or use one card for strategic use and consolidate using that card that accrues points.

The Nol Plus programme is intelligent in transforming the daily routine promise of commuting into valuable incentives in the context of the modern smart-city of Dubai where mobility and lifestyle are integrated. You are either a daily commuter on the transport system or you can do it occasionally by tapping a taxi or paying a parking fee using your Nol card, but whatever the case, you are winning because you are not only paying the fare you are earning.
