Likewise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait released a statement on the attack of UAE consulate in Iraq, claiming that it was a direct breach of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963 and other international agreements, which were published through the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The UAE consulate attack in Iraq was also violently condemned by Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the recurring attack on diplomatic premises as a violation of international laws and norms, the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, in particular, and emphasized the need to appreciate the inviolability of diplomatic missions.
