UAE confirms interceptions, fatalities, and preparedness to protect national security, showing strong response to continued threats

Air Defence Response on March 27

On March 27, the UAE air defence systems intercepted 6 ballistic missiles and 9 drones that came from Iran’s territory, the Ministry of Defence stated. The quick action shows the developed defensive abilities of country amid growing regional tensions.

Rising Interception Figures

From the starting, the UAE air defence forces have recorded notable interception totals. As per authorities stated, 378 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,835 drones have been intercepted, showing the level and persistence of the risks.

2 armed forces personnel lost their lives while carrying out their national duty, stated by the Ministry. A Moroccan civilian contractor associated with the armed forces also killed. The UAE air defence operations come amid these tragic sacrifices.

8 citizens killed during the incidents— including Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, and India nationals. Injuries affected 171 others; severity varied widely across cases. The UAE air defence attempt to focus on minimizing civilian harm.
