Starting from the next academic year, UAE Public Schools will introduce AI official subject for all students, from kindergarten to Grade 12. This move makes the UAE one of the first countries in the world to teach artificial intelligence to every student at every stage of their schooling.

The Ministry of Education has confirmed that AI official subject will be part in the curriculum in all UAE public schools. The subject will be taught under the “Computing, Creative Design, and Innovation” program. One special feature of the new “AI official subject” is that it will not require extra school hours. The subject will fit into the current timetable under the existing Computing, Creative Design, and Innovation classes. Designated teachers will lead the “AI official subject” lessons in UAE public schools. The Ministry of Education will provide training and support to ensure high-quality teaching across all grades.
