Dubai, May 29, 2025 – A new survey indicates that UAE Jobs workplace changes are riding along flex hours and employee well-being. Amid the enlargement of the UAE job market, companies are now focusing largely on providing good mental and physical health care for their workforce. As employees raise stronger voices for work-life balance and more customized elements in rewards, this change is being affected.

Employee Well-Being on the Rise

In the latest Mercer Marsh Benefits Survey, 85% of employees in UAE say they feel both physically and mentally well in their current jobs in UAE. This positive trend is upheld as 64% of people brand their employers as active promoters of a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, 58% feel their organizations actually care about their health and well-being.

A solid majority of 68% of employees feel they are thriving in their UAE jobs, and 79% believe they can avail themselves of any necessary healthcare for themselves and their families. This emphasis on well-being carries through into personal ambitions, with a 2025 YouGov survey showing people in the UAE place highest priority on physical fitness and mental health.

The challenges, however, are still creeping in. Almost half of UAE professionals mention feeling stressed almost every day at work, with 58% already seeking new UAE jobs. This higher-than-the-global-average number brings out more so the correlation between workplace stress and employee turnover. Only 30% of employees have mental health treatment covered under their insurance, while 29% have either training in how to manage it or a method of accessing such training.

Flexible Benefits and Work Arrangements

The survey indicates that there is an escalation in demand for flexibility in the UAE jobs. Among the employees consenting to this, 50% believe flexible schedules such as compressed workweeks would be of help, yet only 33% of them have had this benefit offered. 49% considered flexible retirement plans important, while only 26% had access to these.

Its emergence as a top priority is reflected in 62% of UAE workers seeking more individualized benefits fitted to their needs. Many workers have interests in proactive and preventive health benefits; in fact, 81% favor having employers assist with long-term health and care needs planning, while 80% would appreciate financial incentives for preventive care.

Emphasis on well-being and flexibility cuts across U.A.E. private companies. The U.A.E. government and health authorities are launching their own program for the support of employees’ mental health and work-life balance. These initiatives are linked to and support the National Strategy for Wellbeing with the end goal being a healthier and more productive workforce.

The Future of UAE Jobs: A Healthier and Happier Workforce

The recent findings show that UAE jobs are no longer just about salary and promotions. Employees expect companies to care about their mental and physical health. It is those companies that provide flexibility in work hours along with customized benefits that are able to attract and retain talents in the UAE jobs market.

Though a lot is achieved, there are still a few gaps to be filled, mostly in providing support for mental health. Many employees avoid seeking medical treatment purely due to financial concerns, while cultural stigma might prevent others from asking for help in the first place. Organizations that take employee mental health seriously click higher on job satisfaction and performance, proving a good return over the money they invest into employee well-being.

UAE jobs are good for a change. The focus of several companies being on employee health, well-being, and flexible work, the UAE job market will probably be one of the most attractive in the region. Employees are encouraged to choose UAE jobs that promote their overall well-being, while employers shall take the task of further evolving workplace policies that will support a dystopian diverse yet dynamic workforce.
