July 08, 2025 | Dubai, UAE:  The UAE National Day 2025 is set to be a major highlight on the country’s calendar. Each year, this important event brings people together to celebrate the nation’s unity and achievements. In 2025, UAE National Day will be marked on December 2 and 3, which fall on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Many residents are currently expecting an expansion to provide a five-day weekend for many families and workers.

What is UAE National Day 2025?

UAE National Day 2025 celebrates the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971. On this historic day, the rulers of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah agreed to unite and form one country. Ras al Khaimah joined the federation shortly after in early 1972. This day is also called Eid al Etihad, which means “Festival of the Union.”

The UAE National Day 2025 will be the 54th occasion on which the country will celebrate this special program. The festival decorated the vision and leadership of UAE, the founder president of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The subject for the day, Spirit of the Union, underlines the unity and progress of the country.

Expected Dates and Public Holiday Plans

In 2025, the UAE National Day will be officially celebrated on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 2 and 3. There is enthusiasm there because many residents expect long breaks. If the government declares Monday, December 1 as a holiday, workers can enjoy a five-day weekend. This possible break will begin on Friday, November 28, and by Wednesday, December 3, which works in the Monday-to-Friday program.

However, the UAE cabinet has not yet confirmed the final public holiday program for the UAE National Day 2025. Official announcements about the holidays are usually made close to the date. Both public and private sector employees are waiting for news, as families will get more time to celebrate together in a long weekend.

How UAE National Day 2025 be Celebrated?

UAE National Day 2025 will be full of colorful events and activities across the country. Buildings, malls, cars, and roads will be decorated with red, green, black, and white colors of the UAE flag. The day usually begins with the national anthem and a flag-enhancing ceremony.

People are ready for parade, cultural performance,s and traditional dances such as Al-Ayyala, a group dance, a group dance recognized by UNESCO. Fireworks and light shows will be at famous places such as Burj Khalifa, Abu Dhabi Corniche, and Al Majaz Waterfront of Sharjah. The UAE will add air shows to enthusiasm by the Air Force and military processions.

The family will enjoy concerts, street fairs and exhibitions that demonstrate Emirati culture. Many malls and hotels will offer special deals and stay packages for the UAE National Day 2025. UAE National Day 2025 is not just a public holiday. It is time for everyone to come together in UAE and celebrate the journey to the country. Whether or not a five-day weekend, the feeling of unity and pride will shine in the Emirates. Residents are eagerly waiting for the official announcement, expecting extra time to enjoy the celebration with family and friends.
