August 25, 2025 | Abu Dhabi, UAE: Travelling all around the city has become way easier than before with the Abu Dhabi unlimited bus travel pass. For Dh35, you can travel for a whole week without worrying about extra fares, and for Dh95, you can travel freely for an entire month. The pass covers buses in Abu Dhabi city, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, making it a great option for residents, workers, and tourists.

The Abu Dhabi unlimited bus travel pass is a special ticket that lets you ride buses as much as you want during the time period you choose.

  • Weekly pass – Dh35 for 7 days.
  • Monthly pass – Dh95 for 30 days.

There’s also a discounted monthly pass for Dh80 available for seniors and people of determination.

Getting Started With a Hafilat Card

To use the Abu Dhabi unlimited bus travel pass, you first need a Hafilat Card, which works like a smart travel card.

  • Anonymous Card – easy to buy, costs Dh10, and works for 16 years. You don’t need documents, but if you lose it, the balance can’t be transferred unless it’s linked to an Emirates ID.
  • Personalised Card – for seniors, students, and people of determination. It’s linked to your Emirates ID and allows balance transfer if lost.

Places to Buy or Recharge the Pass

You can get the pass from many locations across the emirate:

  • Ticket machines at bus stops (locations listed on darbi.itc.gov.ae).
  • Customer Happiness Centres at main bus stations and Zayed International Airport.
  • Supermarkets and exchanges like Lulu Hypermarket, Lulu Exchange, SPAR, and Al Ain Cooperative Society.
  • Online at the Hafilat website (hafilat.darb.ae).

This makes it simple for both daily commuters and visitors to access the Abu Dhabi unlimited bus travel pass.

Why Commuters Prefer It?

The Abu Dhabi unlimited bus travel pass saves both time and money. Instead of topping up after each trip, you can ride freely for the entire week or month.

A daily commuter who takes several buses a day will find the Dh95 monthly pass far cheaper than paying per ride. For tourists, it means exploring Abu Dhabi without worrying about transport costs.

It also supports the city’s efforts to reduce traffic and encourage more eco-friendly travel. AD Mobility has also introduced a discounted version of the pass. Seniors and people of determination can get a monthly pass for only Dh80.

To apply, they need to visit a Customer Happiness Centre with a valid Emirates ID. After that, they can recharge their cards at regular outlets just like everyone else. This shows Abu Dhabi’s focus on making public transport accessible to all, regardless of age or ability.

How the Pass Fits Daily Life?

For many people, this pass is more than just a ticket; it is peace of mind. Students can travel between home, university, and part-time jobs without worrying about daily fares. Families can explore the city together on weekends at a fixed cost. Even temporary visitors like business travellers can rely on it for meetings and city tours.

The pass also reflects how Abu Dhabi is building a culture of public transport. As more people adopt the Abu Dhabi unlimited bus travel pass, buses become the backbone of everyday commuting, connecting neighbourhoods and communities.
