British Airways has officially announced the cancellation of all flights to and from Dubai until the end of May. The UK-based carrier confirmed an extension of its reduced flight schedule across the Middle East due to ongoing regional instability.

Updated Flight Schedule and Regional Impact

The airline has cancelled all services to Dubai International Airport (DXB), as well as routes to Amman, Bahrain, and Tel Aviv, up to and including Sunday, May 31, 2026.

The suspension also impacts other key destinations in the Gulf:

  • Abu Dhabi: All flights remain cancelled until October 25, 2024. The airline expects to restart this route as part of its winter schedule.
  • Doha: Services are suspended until Thursday, April 30. A limited flight schedule will then be implemented from May 1 until the end of the month.

Official Statement on Airspace Instability

An official spokesman for British Airways explained that the decision stems from continuing uncertainty in the Middle East and airspace instability. The extension aims to provide greater clarity for travelers during this period. The airline stated it is keeping the situation under constant review and remains in direct contact with affected passengers.

To further assist disrupted travelers, the airline has added several additional flights to alternative hubs:

  • Four additional flights to and from Singapore.
  • Three additional flights to and from Bangkok.

The carrier continues to review further options to support customers whose travel plans have been impacted by the regional schedule reductions.
