Beyond the Rails Tram Bus Marine & Free Parking

The RTAs public transport plan for the National Day long weekend is fully integrated ensuring that the Tram Buses and Marine services also operate on enhanced schedules to complement the extended Dubai Metro Timings for UAE National Day. (KWC 5)

Public Buses & Trams

The Dubai Tram and Public Bus network are crucial for covering the last mile of your journey.

Dubai Tram Timings (Al Sufouh Marina JBR):

  •  Saturday (Nov 29) Monday (Dec 1) Tuesday (Dec 2): 6:00 am – 1:00 am (Next Day)
  • Sunday (Nov 30): 9:00 am – 1:00 am (Next Day)

Public Buses (Dubai Bus):

  •  Bus routes will generally continue to operate but schedules and routes may be affected by road closures for parades and official ceremonies.
  •  Essential Tip: The RTA strongly advises all commuters to check the Shail app for real time changes particularly for bus feeder routes to Metro stations and intercity buses.

 Marine Transport

For travel across the Creek or around the Marina marine services are also adjusted. Given the popularity of waterfront events these timings will be extended to align with the extended Dubai Metro Timings for UAE National Day. (KWC 6)

  •  Dubai Ferry & Water Taxi: Service hours for routes like Dubai Marina Al Ghubaiba and Dubai Water Canal are modified to cater to holiday demand. Detailed real time schedules are available on the RTA website and the Shail smart app.
  •  Abra Service: Traditional and electric Abra services across the Creek and at Festival City will also see service hours extended late into the evening.

 Parking Relief

The biggest news for drivers is the confirmation of free public parking.

  • Free Parking Days : Public parking across Dubai will be free of charge on Monday December 1 and Tuesday December 2 2025.This makes it easy to park near a station or event.
  •  Exceptions: This does not apply to multi storey car parks or the Al Khail Gate N365 facility.
  • Resumption: Paid parking will resume across the emirate on Wednesday December 3 2025. This provision significantly eases mobility for drivers alongside the extended Dubai Metro Timings for UAE National Day. (KWC 7)

Seamless Travel Tips for the Long Weekend

Don’t let crowds slow down your holiday fun. Here are a few simple steps to ensure you enjoy the festivities with Dubai Metro Timings for UAE National Day:

  • Nol Card is Your Passport: The Metro and Tram are Nol card only. Make sure you have enough balance(AED 750 minimum) on your card.Consider topping up via the RTA or Shail app before you leave home to avoid long queues at stations during peak hours. (KWC 8)
  • Allow Buffer Time: Key stations near major events (like Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall DMCC and Expo 2020) will be exceptionally busy particularly around firework display times (usually 800 pm – 1000 pm). Anticipate a short wait to board trains.
  •  Use Smart Services: The RTAs Shail app is your best travel partner for this long weekend. Use it to plan your entire route from the first bus or Marine journey to the last leg on the Dubai Metro. (KWC 9)
  •  Know Your Start Time: Remember the early start on the main holiday days (500 am) allows for very early travel helping you beat the midday rush if youre heading to a distant venue.

The thoughtful planning and extended hours particularly the generous Dubai Metro Timings for UAE National Day (KWC 10) by the RTA are designed to maximize your enjoyment of the 54th National Day. Have a safe happy and memorable long weekend!
