Dubai- UAE: The 25th Airport Show, one of the most influential events in the aviation industry across the world, is scheduled to be hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) between May 12 and May 14, 2026. The three days will be a major showroom where the latest advancements in the aviation sector and innovations will be showcased and the world leaders in the industry, experts and exhibitors will be brought on board to speak at the event held in different continents. It will spotlight the Air Traffic Management(ATM) and Air Traffic Control(ATC) systems designed for Air Navigation Service Providers(ANSPs) and airport operators.

An Airport Show Milestone Edition

The Airport Show 2026 will be its 25th anniversary and demonstrates a quarter-century of active development and change in the airport and aviation industries. It has become one of the greatest B2B industry shows in the world, which has been credited in forming alliances, technology development, and the future of air transportation.

It is anticipated to have over 150 exhibitors representing over 30 countries and is expected to receive over 7,000 visitors including 120 hosted buyers thus making it one of the largest gatherings of the airport industry in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.

Focus On Innovation: Smarter Skies And Advanced Technologies

One of the most important features of this year’s Airport Show will be that it gives attention to the new Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) solutions. To help skies become safer and airport operations more efficient in the face of the soaring global air traffic, airports and the aviation authorities around the world are investing more in such technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and big data analytics.

Since the number of passengers is predicted to increase to the highest in 2026 and more, the event will highlight innovations that can be used to manage the airspace, promote safety, improve aircraft spacing and facilitate movement of data-driven decisions.

Airport Show

An Industry Leadership Think Tank

In conjunction with the show, the Airport Show will have a series of co-located conferences and forums, such as:

  • Global Airport Leaders Forum (GALF).
  • Airport Security Middle East.
  • ATC Forum (9th edition)
  • Women in Aviation Middle East Conference.

These meetings give a platform to those in charge of policy making, aviation executives and technology experts to discuss the trends, exchange ideas and offer cooperation in the future of the industry.

Strategic Significance Of Dubai As A World Aviation Hub

Dubai has had a long history as a global aviation centre and is therefore the perfect destination to host this landmark event. The active city infrastructure, the strategic geographic location, and the active approach to the aviation innovation have led to the fact that the airports became the links uniting the travellers of the entire world.

The other benefit of the Airport Show is the participation of the top level of leadership. The event is held under the patronage of the President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who underlines the importance of the event in the innovation of airport technologies and creation of collaboration in the global aviation sector.

Airport Show

What To Expect In 2026 And Beyond

The Airport Show 2026 will be a platform to unleash the next-generation solutions that will shape the future of the airports and their operation methods. The digital transformation to sustainable development and better passenger experiences represent only some of the events that provide us with the picture of the future of the aviation industry.  The growth in the global passenger traffic is estimated to be 5.2 billion in 2026 and 17.7 billion in 2043. It is believed that aircrafts will move to 149 million by 2043. Passenger traffic alone in the Middle East is set to hit over 240 in the year 2026.

To the professionals, the exhibitors, and stakeholders in the aviation and airport operations, the groundbreaking edition of the Airport Show will be a must event that will hasten innovation and enhance international relationship in the industry.
