Dubai, October 4, 2025- Emirates has announced important updates for all passengers flying from UAE to India. Starting October 1, 2025, non-Indian nationals flying UAE to India must complete a new digital requirement, the e-Arrival Card. This new rule is part of India’s efforts to modernize immigration procedures and make arrivals faster and more efficient.

Understanding the New e-Arrival Card for UAE to India Flights

The e-Arrival Card first replaces the old paper disorganization form already filled at the airport. Passengers flying UAE for India now need to fill this online form 24 hours before their flight 24 hours before their flight. The form is simple, collecting basic information like passport number, nationality, purpose of travel, duration of stay, and contact details in India. There is no need to upload any documents, and the process is free.

Once submitted, passengers receive a confirmation that can be digital or printed. This confirmation should be shown on immigration for a quick and smooth extraction. The passenger will already have the details before coming to the Indian officials before reducing the waiting time at the airport.

The online form can be filled out through reliable portals such as the India Bureau of Immigration website, Indian Visa Portal, or the Su-S-Swagatam mobile app. It is important to complete the form within the specified time window to avoid long queues at the airport. Indian citizens and foreign nationals (OCI) cardholders of India are exempted from this requirement and can continue using their current fast-track services.

What UAE to India Flights Passengers Need to Do?

UAE to India flights passengers are advised to confirm and update their contact information through the manage of Emirates management. This ensures that they receive timely notifications about their flight conditions and immigration processes. Completing the e-Arrival Card in advance leads to considerable speed in immigration processing, which helps passengers to avoid waiting for a long time.

Emirates stressed that effective from October 1, 2025, all passengers flying to the UAE from India would have to complete the e-Arrival Card. Failure to do so can result in delay or prolonged processing time. For ease of immigration, it is recommended to carry a printed or digital copy of the confirmation.

This new process is designed to benefit tourists, commercial passengers, and students equally. Tourists can detect famous sites in India, like the Taj Mahal and Jaipur palace, without unnecessary delays. Professional passengers will get the speed conference and meeting on logistics. Students arriving in India for study will experience a less stressful arrival process.

This step aligns with India’s target to digitize immigration and improve airport efficiency. Electronically by obtaining pre-reconciliation information, Indian officials can process rapid entries, which ensure a safe, smooth, and more organized entry at Indian airports.

Additional Travel Safety and Regulatory Updates

With the e-Arrival Card, Emirates has announced other important travel updates. From October 1, 2025, the airline will impose a ban on the use or charging of power banks, including rechargeable battery packs. Only one power bank per passenger is allowed in cabin goods, which has a capacity of under 100 watt-hours. The purpose of these security measures is to prevent onboard fire or accidents due to damaged or overcharged power banks.

Emirates also reminded passengers about the security rules related to carrying power banks, including restrictions on storage locations. These policies are part of the ongoing efforts to increase passenger safety in all UAEs for all flights and other routes in India.

In addition, Emirates and other airlines warn passengers to allow additional time in the border check for flights in the Schengen region, as Europe has been implementing a new entry/exit system (EES) since October 12, 2025. This digital system will record biometric data, replacing manual passport stamping. Although it will speed up the limit check after initial registration, passengers should wait longer during their first visit after activation.
