The first-ever K-Premium Products Fair Dubai 2026 opens at InterContinental Festival City. It gives Korean businesses their most direct shot yet at the GCC market.

Dubai, UAE – 29th September, 2026 — Dubai is a hub for brands seeking entry into the Middle East. However, the city is not just a market. It is a launchpad, a credibility stamp and a gateway to six GCC countries simultaneously. When Korea’s COEX decided to bring its first Middle East event, Dubai was the answer. This acknowledgement set the stage for the K-Premium Products Fair Dubai 2026.

The K-Premium Products Fair Dubai 2026 opened yesterday at InterContinental Dubai Festival City, inviting industry players and media to explore Korean brands in the Gulf. The event showcases a growing collaboration between Korean businesses and Gulf partners, highlighting innovation, quality, and shared opportunities across sectors such as tech, beauty, and consumer goods.

The fair runs until October 1st and marks a turning point in regional trade ties, signaling stronger ties and longer partnerships between Korea and Gulf markets. Attendees can expect product showcases, business matchmaking, and seminars on supply chains, innovation, and sustainable development.

Fifty Korean Brands. One Room. Six Markets Within Reach.

Fifty carefully selected Korean consumer goods companies have made the journey to Dubai this week, representing categories spanning beauty and fashion, home and interior design, food and beverages and a range of premium consumer products. These are not household names looking for brand recognition in a market they already dominate. These are promising small and medium-sized enterprises making a calculated first move into a region that has shown growing appetite for Korean products across every category they touch.

Additionally, the appetite is real and the numbers support it. Moreover, the Korean Wave, or Hallyu, has moved well beyond entertainment. As a result, K-beauty has become a global industry estimated to be worth billions. Hence, Korean food exports have grown consistently year on year. Likewise, Korean interior and lifestyle brands are building genuine followings among younger consumers across the GCC.

What has been missing until now is a structured, direct pathway for Korean companies to meet the buyers, distributors and retail networks that would actually get their products onto shelves here.

COEX is building that pathway.

What Makes This Fair Different?

The K-Premium Products Fair is not a standard trade exhibition where companies set up stands and hand out brochures. Its design is considerably more purposeful.

At its core is a one-on-one export consultation programme that connects participating Korean companies directly with distributors and purchasing representatives from major retail networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. COEX leveraged its global buyer network and local agents to match potential buyers with specific companies before the event even began, based on each company’s product portfolio and export needs.

The practical result is that a Korean food and beverage company does not spend three days hoping the right buyer walks past their stand. They arrive with meetings already scheduled, conversations already started and relationships already forming.

Jo Sang Hyeon, President of COEX, described the event as both a support mechanism for Korean SMEs and a starting point for COEX’s broader expansion into the Middle East. Having already established successful operations in Vietnam and Indonesia, the organisation is now applying that experience to the GCC, a market with considerably higher purchasing power and an accelerating interest in premium international consumer goods.

His Excellency Dr Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, attended the launch and delivered the keynote address, a signal of how seriously the UAE government views the strengthening of trade relationships with Korea at the enterprise level, not just the diplomatic one.

Beyond the Event

What happens after October 1st is as important as what happens during the three days at Festival City.

COEX is running a cross-border online sales programme for approximately two months following the fair, allowing participating companies to continue reaching local consumers and assessing genuine market interest beyond the event itself. Alongside this, products from participating brands are being showcased in major retail facilities across Dubai before and after the fair, giving companies real consumer exposure rather than the contained environment of a trade show floor.

The combination, direct buyer meetings, retail visibility and sustained online sales support, creates a more complete market entry pathway than a single event could offer alone.

The Timing Makes Sense

The GCC’s consumer market is in an interesting moment. Younger buyers across the region are increasingly drawn to products with strong brand stories, verified quality credentials and cultural cachet. Korean consumer goods tick each of those boxes in ways that are driving genuine commercial results, not just social media engagement.

For Korean SMEs, the Middle East represents significant untapped potential. For Dubai’s retail and distribution ecosystem, events like this one bring new product categories and new brands that keep the market competitive and interesting.

The K-Premium Products Fair runs until October 1st at InterContinental Dubai Festival City. It is the first. It will not be the last.
