June 26, 2025 | Dubai, UAE – Pakistan UAE entry visa exemption was one of the key agreements made in the 12th session of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. This JMC session was conducted after a long gap of 13 years in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Thursday. The meeting was scheduled for October 2024.
The session was co-chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and by the correspondent, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting outlined many important domains, namely, technological, political, and economic. However, the prime highlight of the session was the Pakistan UAE entry visa exemption. The Pakistan UAE entry visa exemption agreement between the two nations came as a big step to ease the cross-border passage. Both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mutually waive the visa requirements for their citizens. The initiative aims to open up movement for tourism and travel, business and cultural tie,s simplifying mobility.

Both nations also made a move in uplifting economic cooperation by announcing the creation of a joint task force.
