The Ras Al Khaimah Art 2025 Festival concluded with resounding success, solidifying its reputation as one of the region’s premier cultural and artistic events. Drawing over 39,000 visitors, the festival showcased an impressive collection of 190 artworks by more than 100 artists representing 31 nationalities. This year’s event celebrated art as a universal language, fostering connections through an immersive program of workshops, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges.

Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival Highlights

  • Workshops and Programs: A total of 21 workshops provided hands-on opportunities for attendees to engage with art. The Art Exploration Program stood out by involving 2,662 students from 80 schools in 85 workshops over 20 days, nurturing creativity among young minds.
  • Cultural Exchange: Seven diplomatic missions—representing the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, United States, China, Japan, and Brazil—actively participated in the festival. Their contributions highlighted the importance of cultural diplomacy in fostering global artistic dialogue.

A cornerstone of the festival was its commitment to education through the Art Exploration Program. Engaging students from across Ras Al Khaimah, this initiative provided young participants with hands-on workshops designed to deepen their appreciation for art. By connecting students with professional artists and exposing them to diverse creative techniques, the program aimed to cultivate a lifelong love for artistic expression.

Looking Ahead: Ras Al Khaimah Art 2026 Festival

Building on its 2025 success, the Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival has announced its theme for 2026: Civilizations. This theme will explore the evolution of cultures and their enduring creative legacies. From ancient trade routes that once connected Ras Al Khaimah to the world to contemporary digital landscapes shaping modern narratives, the festival will examine how civilizations influence art across time.

The upcoming festival promises an engaging lineup of curated exhibitions, live performances, immersive installations, and interactive experiences. It aims to present art as a living dialogue between history and modernity—where past legacies merge with contemporary creativity.

Open Call for Artists and Creatives

The Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival invites artists, filmmakers, and creatives worldwide to participate in its Open Call from April 1 to May 31, 2025. This opportunity includes prestigious programs such as the Film Grant and Art Residency. Selected participants will have the chance to develop their projects and showcase them at the festival.

Diplomatic Missions: Strengthening Cultural Ties

The festival extends a special invitation to diplomatic missions worldwide to participate in its celebration of artistic heritage. Building on the success of previous editions, where seven diplomatic missions actively engaged in cultural exchange, the 2026 festival encourages embassies to explore their nations’ artistic roots. Through exhibitions, performances, and film screenings, diplomatic missions can highlight their cultural heritage while collaborating with international artists.

A Legacy of Artistic Excellence

Since its inception in 2013 under the patronage of Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, the Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival has grown from a modest gathering of local artists into a dynamic global platform. Formerly known as the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival, it has evolved into an inclusive hub that nurtures both local talent and international collaborations.
