July 17, 2025 | Dubai, UAE – The trading scam in Dubai has become worse in 2025, exploiting more victims, greater losses, and minimum recovery of finances.
An Indian Bank Consultant In Dubai fell victim to these traps and lost about Dh100,000. The victim has filed a police report in Al Riffa Station and is paying the monthly debt with more than half of his salary.
Indian Expat Loses To Trading Scam In Dubai
The expat, who was from Andhra Pradesh, earned Dh14,000 a month. He shares his story of the elaborate trading scam in Dubai through WhatsApp where scammers used Indian phone numbers.

He was added to a Whatsapp group called Stock Market Strategy C4, which had 137 members in April. The group was filled with fake testimonials, screenshots of profits, and staged praise for the admins, who were actually running the con.
In a while, an admin privately offered help to the victim to open a trading account on a fake site, ArmorCapital.net. The victim wired Dh 65,000 to a UAE account and again, almost Dh 35,000 from his Indian accounts. The scammers sent fake documents, including a certificate claiming to be from the U.S. SEC, to gain his trust.
Soon, the scammers demanded Dh 620,000 more, claiming an IPO had been purchased on his behalf. On refusal, the website vanished, trapping the expat in the trading scam in dubai.
The victim expressed his distress, “I tried calling them, but most numbers were switched off. The few that rang got cut off as soon as I mentioned the scam. I shared my story so others don’t fall into the same trap. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
