March 22: UAE Air Defences Intercept 4 Ballistic Missiles, 25 UAVs

Robust response continues as UAE repeats readiness, resilience, and its right to protect sovereignty amid continued regional tensions

March 22: Ongoing Interceptions

On March 22, the UAE air defences efficiently neutralized 4 ballistic missiles and 25 UAVs that came from Iranian territory. The recent participation shows the continued attention and quick response capability of nation in countering threats.

Cumulative Defence Operations

UAE air defences have neutralized a notable number of coming threats, also including 345 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,773 UAVs, since the starting of Iran’s attack. These figures show the scale and consistency of defensive actions operated over the last few weeks.

Casualties and Human Impact

The conflict has also resulted in casualties. 6 civilians, some of Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Palestine —have lost their lives. In addition, 2 members of the UAE Armed Forces have been martyred, while approx 160 people have suffered injuries.

Preparedness and Strategic Capability

Authorities have stated that UAE air defences stay fully prepared to overcome any challenges. The nation has advanced systems and a strong stockpile of ammunition, outlined by the Ministry of Defence assuring sustained interception capabilities over long period.

Commitment to De-escalation with Firm Stance

While constantly endorsing for de-escalation, it has been made clear that UAE air defences will continue to protect national sovereignty. Officials have reassured the right of the country to answer decisively to any form of aggression.

Leadership Message of Strength

On March 7, President of UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during a hospital visit shared a powerful message of resilience. Addressing injured civilians, he stated:

“The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh, we are no easy prey.”

He further assured that the nation would conquer the ongoing challenges and emerge stronger than before, reinforcing confidence in the capabilities of UAE air defences.
