January 3, 2026 | Dubai, UAE: The UAE has put forth to all parties in the Yemen conflict that they adopt a policy of the greatest restraint and instead put national issues first, in which they will report to end military action. In a formal release from t The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE reports that the country has a chance at a stable future through a full-scale political solution and a return to peace talks. This is at a very key time as the world is trying to see the region through a crisis point and to also see the humanitarian situation improve.

The UAE is into active diplomacy which steps in at a very critical time of de-escalation in many Yemeni fronts. With appeal to wisdom as a policy guide the Emirati government brings to fore the scale which the un-let out conflict has on the civilian population. The Ministry also brought out that the at large military action only serves to aggravate the humanitarian crisis and delay the reconstruction of state institutions. The UAE is dedicated to support the Yemeni peoples for security and development within a unitary political structure. This is a belief that local issues do best not to be resolved through military means.

Fostering Regional Stability and International Cooperation

The UAE has been at the forefront in supporting a Yemeni driven process which also includes that of regional and the UN’s role in seeing through an inclusive and lasting peace agreement. We put out a call for wisdom which is a large-scale appeal in order to break the pattern of uncontrolled violence. Role of Politics in Peace Building.

Central to what the UAE is putting forth is the idea that issues must be resolved via a structured political process which in turn is to be conducted by force. The Government report said that all Yemeni groups must get into the cycle of productive dialogue which in turn will address the root of the conflict. By putting forward the state’s interest above that of political parties or militiamen the UAE puts forth that which will see Yemen achieve in the end what it is they desire which is sovereignty and stability for the better chance at long term prosperity.

Aligning with Global Diplomatic Efforts

International analysts say that the UAE position reflects the attempts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen to promote a countrywide ceasefire. The emphasis on dialogue means that the UN Security Council Resolution and the Gulf Initiative already provide the terms of peace. The UAE, together with the Saudi-led coalition, continues to create conditions where peace talks can be pursued without the imminent danger of renewed fighting. Committing to Regional Security and Humanitarian Relief. 

Choosing Diplomacy Over Destruction

The UAE is standing by its support for the Yemeni people which it presents as a time to choose diplomacy over destruction. Through the appeal to all parties to exercise wisdom and to stop escalation the UAE reinforces its role as a key player in regional stability. What is put forth is that the future of Yemen is in the hands of its leaders to put down arms and embrace the necessary work of political reconciliation.
