UAE, May 26th, 2025:The UAE Digital Degree Service is now completely changing the way of confirming the educational qualifications of private sector employees, especially for those whose degrees have been obtained from abroad. The objective of this innovative initiative, launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratizations (MoHRE) recently, is to verify educational certificates rapidly and efficiently, so that the recruitment process can be much easier for both employers and employees. This influential initiative is a major and decisive step towards making the UAE’s labor market digital and modern.
What is the UAE Digital Degree Service?
The UAE Digital Degree Service is a centralized digital platform that confirms the educational qualifications of private sector employees, especially for those who have obtained degrees from outside the UAE.

- This service applies to employees from the private sector, skill levels 1 to 4.
- Initially, it is available only for degrees released from outside the UAE.
- In the coming time, this service will also include degrees issued in the UAE.
- This facility is available through Mohre’s website, mobile app, and business service centers across the country.
Why Is This Service Important?
Employees must recognize their educational certificates to work legally in the UAE. Especially for migrant employees, first, they have to complete the verification process of certificates in their country, and then it has to be confirmed in the UAE as well.
What used to happen earlier:
- The entire process could take 10 working days or more.
- If the certificates were already verified in the country, processing them in the UAE took about 2 days.
But now with the arrival of the UAE digital degree service, this entire process will be much faster, easier, and streamlined.
Benefits of the UAE Digital Degree Service
According to Mohre, this project has brought a digital verification process, in which only one one-time fee will have to be paid. This service brings many benefits for both employers and government institutions:

- The Authenticity and accuracy of educational certificates are fully confirmed.
- Makes the recruitment process more reliable and transparent through the UAE Digital Degree Service.
- Paper reduces the functioning and manual process to a great extent.
- The process of issuing work permits is easy.
- Promises the speed and efficiency of employment services.
Collaborative Effort for a Stronger Future
This visionary initiative is being implemented in partnership with two major institutions:
- Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) – Which is playing the role of the official academic verification authority in this project.
- The Telecom and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) is supporting digital infrastructure for this service.

“The introduction of this innovative service is in line with our goals that motivate the higher education sector to make an active contribution to national development. We are committed to bringing more such smart and impressive solutions with our federal and local partners.” Stated by Dr. Mohammad Al Muhalla.
What’s Next?
- This service will soon spread to the verification of the degrees issued within the UAE.
- It aims to meet the changing labor market needs of the UAE.
- This will help in maintaining professional standards as well as make the services of the government faster and more effective.

The UAE Digital Degree Service is not just a technical improvement, but it is a major step towards making the employment system smarter and effective. Through this service, procedures will be accelerated, government paperwork will be reduced, and recruitment will increase in confidence and credibility. This initiative further strengthens the global leadership commitment in the UAE’s digital governance, making the country’s employment environment more transparent, well-organized, and modern. This means that the employment process for both employers and employees will be easy and reliable, which establishes the UAE as a progressive and leading nation.
