The UAE government held a comprehensive media briefing today to address the nation regarding the ongoing educational status and the resilience of vital sectors following recent regional developments. Dr. Saif Al Dhaheri, spokesperson for the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), led the briefing, providing critical updates on the safety of the community and the proactive measures taken to ensure national stability.

He emphasized that the UAE’s current response is the result of years of strategic planning and capacity-building designed to safeguard both residents and the national economy during exceptional circumstances.

Educational Continuity and Remote Learning

A primary focus of the briefing was the status of the academic sector. Dr. Al Dhaheri announced that a final decision on whether students across the Emirates will return to physical classrooms or continue with distance learning is expected to be finalized within the next 24 hours.

For the time being, distance learning remains in effect to ensure that the educational process continues without interruption in a secure environment. This follows an earlier directive from education authorities that shifted all schools to remote learning until Wednesday, March 4, as a precautionary step.

Stability of Essential Services and Daily Life

Despite the regional situation, the NCEMA spokesperson stressed that daily life across the UAE continues as normal. He reassured the public that essential infrastructure, including energy, water, telecommunications, transport, and healthcare is functioning smoothly and efficiently.

Furthermore, the supply of goods remains unaffected. Business continuity plans have been activated as a preventative measure to guarantee that all sectors remain fully prepared for potential developments, ensuring that economic activity and community services remain protected.

Transparent Communication and Public Responsibility

The briefing highlighted the activation of a joint national media cell that operates around the clock to provide transparent updates and preventive guidance to the public and the international community. Early warning systems have also been utilized to deliver timely instructions to residents.

Dr. Al Dhaheri praised the high level of responsibility shown by citizens and residents, noting that their trust in the national security system is a vital pillar of the country’s resilience. He concluded by reiterating the importance of following official instructions and relying exclusively on official sources to avoid the spread of inaccurate information.
