Many dream of landing a job in the UAE. But some applicants try to cheat their way through with doctored papers. There are harsh penalties for anyone caught falsifying or using false papers for UAE jobs.

Strict Punishments for Fake Documents in UAE Jobs

The UAE government treats document forgery as a very serious crime. Being involved in the creation of fake documents or in the use of these documents, such persons face imprisonment for a period of 10 years. This applies to both the maker of the fake documents and to the user of such documents, despite the fact that he or she is not the one who made them.

For official document forgery, such as fake educational certificates, the law allows for:

  • Imprisonment for up to 10 years
  • Fines that can reach up to Dh750,000, depending on the type of document and where it is used

A fraudulent educational degree used to attain employment in the UAE may land one in big trouble with fines of up to Dh500,000 along with two years of imprisonment. • Dismiss the employee immediately, without any notice
  • Withhold end-of-service benefits
  • File a police complaint
  • Report the case to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE)

These steps help protect the reputation of UAE jobs and ensure that only qualified people are hired.

Why Do People Use Fake Documents for UAE Jobs?

Because jobs in the UAE are well-paying with better living standards, many job seekers from across the border, especially from India, have been tempted to forge documents. Some purchase fake degrees from unrecognized institutes functioning abroad, thinking it stands good enough for them to get a decent job in the UAE. However, the UAE has strong checks in place. The Ministry of Higher Education verifies all degrees and certificates before they are accepted for government and semi-government jobs.

Recruiters and employers are also being watched closely. If they knowingly help someone get a UAE job using fake documents, they can face heavy fines and even jail time.

A member of the UAE Federal National Council said,

“The UAE is a top destination for jobs, which tempts some people to use fake documents. Our new laws will end this practice and protect the integrity of UAE jobs.”

Impact on Indian Jobseekers

India is one of the largest sources of workers for UAE jobs. There have been many instances when Indian job seekers were found using fake documents. The Indian Embassy to the UAE keeps reminding its citizens to use only genuine certificates. When found guilty, Indian nationals would have to face jail, fines, and lifetime bans from working in the UAE.

Using fake documents to get UAE jobs is a serious crime. The punishments are strict, with jail terms of up to 10 years and fines reaching Dh750,000. Both job seekers and employers must be careful and only use genuine documents. For those dreaming of UAE jobs, honesty is the best policy. The risks of using fake documents are simply not worth it.
