UAE Joins Global Outcry Over Pahalgam Terrorist Attack in Kashmir

Read Latest news only on Times of Dubai

Srinagar, April 23, 2025: The entire Indian nation is horrified with the ghostlyPahalgam Terrorist Attack that occurred at Pahalgam in Kashmir and even brought very shocking reactions from overseas. This has shaken Kashmir some-more as heavy firing opened by militants just recently on a huge number of tourists as well as locals of Baisaran-a meadow around Pahalgam

Although above twenty-six civilians were reported dead: the bloodiest by far in the Valley since 2019, it is said that most of the victims are tourists killed. Urgent is the response this Pahalgam Terrorist Attack from several world leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia to return to India to settle the crisis.

International Condemnation and UAE’s Response

The Pahalgam Terrorist Attack could draw some denunciation from a couple of no-nonsense nations: the strongest was indeed the UAE and the willful violence in the attack. Sending its people into mourning, the government of UAE expressed deep poignancy over the loss of innocent lives in this cowardly act across international lines. Calling it cowardly, the UAE was left to prepare the battlefield for an international campaign against terrorism. Again, on this particular occasion, while reaffirming its support toward peace and stability for Kashmir, the country again stood solidly with India during this eventual time.

Condemnation against the Pahalgam terrorist act goes from many world leaders like Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, and Giorgia Meloni, Italy’s Prime Minister. They have also shown their solidarity to India. The Saudi Crown Prince very vehemently condemned the attack and expressed his deep condolences for the innocent lives lost during a meeting with Prime Minister Modi in Jeddah. Therefore, the responses of the world reflect the seriousness with which terrorism is taken in that region.

Swift Action by Indian Leadership: Modi Cuts Short Saudi Tour

In Pahalgam, a terrorist attack was witnessed, causing an immediate and wide-ranging response from New Delhi. Receiving news of the terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi patched together an impromptu schedule while cutting short a two-day trip to Saudi Arabia. Skipping the official dinner of Saudi officials, Modi flew out of Riyadh late Tuesday night to land in India early Wednesday morning. He was to stay and probably return a day later, but the unfortunate events of the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack led to an early return.

He immediately landed in Delhi, where he chaired a hasty high-level emergency meeting at the airport with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to discuss the situation and India’s response to the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack.

In addition, Modi also got in touch with Home Minister Amit Shah, who was asked to visit the attack site for relief operations. The Prime Minister also assured the citizens that the perpetrators would be punished and that all possible arrangements were to be made by the government to help the victims and their families.

I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected.

Those behind this heinous act will be brought…

— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) April 22, 2025

“Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice…they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger,” Prime Minister Modi posted on social media.

The incident of the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack has resulted in amending travel plans of other high-profile leaders as well. Cuts in official tours to the U.S. and Peru and return to India were announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to underline the seriousness of the government over the incident.

Local Impact and Ongoing Efforts

The Pahalgam Terrorist Attack has left a very deep scar among Kashmiris. It targeted tourists reveling in the natural beauty of Baisaran and left the area in panic and horror. In return, security forces are adding strength and searching for responsible persons regarding the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack. The government has been setting up emergency helplines to assist families undergoing the tragedy.

Tourism, one of the biggest income sources for Pahalgam, has been hit badly due to the attack. Not many tourists today are willing to visit the place, and local businesses are suffering losses. The government is promising normalcy and support for the victims of the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack.

They reflect the tough stand of Prime Minister Modi and the strong condemnation emanating from the UAE and other world leaders, on the resolve that the world is directing against terrorism. No less has the attack at Pahalgam signified that the peace and safety of all have to be won over by standing as one against each other. The attack at Pahalgam will be marked in history as a sad event, but it has also shown the strength and unity of the people and their leaders in adversity.
