August 5, 2025 | Dubai, UAE – UAE aid to Gaza has reached another phase with the dispatch of its new batch of essential medicines and medical supplies to World Health Organisation (WHO) warehouses as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts.
UAE-WHO partnership is preparing for the distribution of medical supplies to the hospitals set up across the Gaza Strip. Sending of the UAE aid to Gaza comes as support due to the worsening conditions of the healthcare facility, due to the ongoing blockade.
Medicine Dispatch To The Strip From UAE
The shipment that was delivered today included 11 trucks carrying over 65 tonnes of various medicines and medical supplies. They also include various essential life-saving medicines and urgent medical supplies. The dispatch was carefully put together to address the immediate needs of the healthcare systems operating in the Strip.
The representatives from the World Health Organisation have acknowledged the efforts to send UAE aid to Gaza and have praised the UAE as one of the most prominent supporters of Gaza’s healthcare sector. They emphasised the importance of reinforcing the global efforts to deliver urgent relief to the Gaza Strip.

WHO also highlighted that the provided aid will directly contribute to fulfilling the medical shortage and enhancing the capacity of the hospitals and the health centres to respond to the surge in the need for medical attention.
The organisation highlighted that the aid will directly contribute to easing the acute medicine shortage and enhancing the capacity of hospitals and healthcare centres to respond to the escalating medical needs.
The UAE is providing regular and multi-sectoral support to Gaza, including in food, shelter, education, and healthcare. This is being provided under the framework of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, further strengthening its humanitarian commitment to the public of Palestine.
UAE Aid to Gaza Under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 is a humanitarian initiative led by the UAE to provide aid and relief to the people of Gaza. The operation was launched on November 3, 2023, to send UAE aid to Gaza under the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In March 2025, the operation marked 500 days of providing relief and delivery of UAE aid to Gaza. The initiative not only focuses on healthcare supplies but also addresses issues like water shortage, airdrops, and relief aid, among others.
UAE aid to Gaza also includes a water transmission line from Egypt to southern Gaza, providing water to around 600,000 residents. The UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, Egypt, offers medical care to Palestinians, while the Birds of Goodness initiative has been air-dropping aid to areas that are inaccessible by land, especially in Northern Gaza.
The UAE-WHO Partnership to Bring Relief Amid War
The UAE aid to Gaza has been ongoing since the onset of the conflict with initiatives launched since 2023. The UAE-WHO Partnership has been intensified more recently under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
The arrangement involves various key entities such as UAE leaders, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE, representatives from the WHO and other global organisations. Leaders from nations like Jordan, Egypt, France and many more.

The UAE-EHO partnership focuses on aspects like addressing the humanitarian crisis by providing essential and timely aid like medicines, water, food, and shelter to the residents in Gaza.
By the UAE-Who partnership, they can better ease the healthcare shortage and ensure medical supplies reach the patients effectively through proper channels. It also helps improve the capacity of the healthcare facilities in the strip. The collaboration is also ensuring medical evacuation for patients who require specialized treatment outside GAZA.
