August 25, 2025| Dubai, UAE: As the Dubai academic year 2025-26 commences, the city welcomes its rapidly growing private New Schools in Dubai. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announces the advent of 25 new private educational institutions arriving this year. These institutions include children’s centres, schools, and colleges. The expansive sector also introduces 14,000 additional seats to provide proper and exceptional education to its student community.

The Dubai academic year 2025-2026 will see the arrival of multiple institutions and a broader expansion of the educational setting. Additionally, these institutions will provide 11,700 new school seats, in addition to spaces for more than 2,400 early learners. This step towards the educational sector will enhance global ties, improve education, and escalate the education sphere.

Broader Emphasis of Key Institutions This Year

Under the Dubai academic year 2025-2026, the incoming of new schools in Dubai will cater to several curricular needs and different age groups. Let us examine a few of the distinguished institutions that have arrived in Dubai’s private educational sector.

  • GEMS School of Research and Innovation

Following the British National Curriculum, this school, featuring a helipad, a massive pool, and advanced technology, will set up shop in Dubai. It is within the premises of Sports City with a 100 million investment.

  • DESS Academic City

It will expand its operation and the prevailing campus with a new school to meet the needs of FS1 to Year 6, inclusive of modern facilities such as an adventure playground and a forest school.

  • Lycee Francais International School

  • Universities such as IIM Ahmedabad, American University of Beirut, and Fakeeh College of Medical Sciences will also inaugurate their vicinity during the Dubai academic year 2025-2026.

Rising Demand Amid Enrollment

The new schools in Dubai are witnessing a surge in applications within the Dubai academic year 2025-2026 ecosystem. Admissions in private schools increased by 6% in the year 2024-2025, raising the total student numbers to nearly 3,88,000 across more than 227 schools. The new schools are stuffed with overdue applications before their opening, especially the Dubai British School, Mira.

It creates a synergy with the KHDA’s ‘Education 33’ motive to augment the arrival of 100 new private schools by 2033, implying a forward stance to meet futuristic needs.

Sustaining a Comprehensive Vision

The commencement of new schools in Dubai underscores KHADA’s progressive stance to enhance the educational prospects under the Dubai academic year 2025-2026. Aisha Miran, DG of KHDA, stresses the fact that these steps boost investor confidence and are proportional to the development strategies. As a piece of the E33 landscape, further developments will deliver nurturing prospects and high-end educational facilities to children of diverse age groups.

In the Dubai academic year 2025-26, the advent of new schools in Dubai is a crucial outcome for the city’s education system. With 16 early childhood centres, six new schools, and three global university campuses arriving in Dubai, there are opportunities for children to pursue further education. These inclusions arrive just in time when the demand for private school enrollment surges. These actions are a part of Dubai’s commitment to providing notable education.
