August 29, 2025 | Dubai: Dubai RTA new bus routes have been introduced and they’re designed to make getting around easier and more efficient than ever before. Starting from August 29, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will roll out five brand-new routes and improve nine existing routes to better connect neighborhoods, business hubs, and metro stations.

This move underlines how serious the city is about bringing smart, reliable transport to residents and visitors alike, especially as the population continues to grow.

Dubai RTA New Bus Routes: What’s Being Added?

The exciting news isn’t just that Dubai RTA new bus routes are launching, it’s that they’re built to meet real travel needs:

Dubai RTA New Bus Routes
  1. Route 31: Dubai Silicon Oasis (Dubai Outsource City)
A direct link running every 20 minutes during peak hours, ideal for commuters working or living around the technology zones.
  2. Routes 62A and 62B
    • 62A: Links Al Qusais Industrial Area with Al Qusais Metro Station.
    • 62B: Runs from Al Qusais Metro to Ras Al Khor’s Samari Residences.
Both run every 30 minutes in peak times, designed to offer better industrial-to-metro connections.
  3. Route F26A: Onpassive Bus Station (Al Quoz Industrial Area 4)
Serving the industrial heart of Al Quoz, this route operates every 30 minutes during busy hours.
  4. Route X91: Express service between Al Ghubaiba and Jebel Ali
A swift, non-stop run that skips Business Bay Metro but Route 91 remains for those needing that stop, also every 30 minutes.

These additions mean Dubai RTA new bus routes are now more aligned with where people live, work, and need to go.

Dubai RTA New Bus Routes: What’s Being Updated?

To make travel even smoother, nine existing routes are receiving smart tweaks:

Dubai RTA New Bus Routes
  • Route 7: Now two-directional from Al Quoz to Al Satwa.
  • Route 91: Shortened to a focused run between Al Ghubaiba and Business Bay Metro.
  • Route F62: Redesigned as two-directional between Emirates Metro and Nad Al Hamar.
  • Route 77: Now runs both ways between Baniyas Square Metro and Al Garhoud.
  • Route X25: Shortened to link Al Karama and Dubai Silicon Oasis.
  • Route 50: Continues between International City and Business Bay, but will no longer go through Dubai Outsource City.
  • Routes 21A & 21B: Now focus on Al Quoz and Al Ghubaiba, respectively.
  • Route J01: Rerouted within Jumeirah Village Circle for better local access.

These changes help ensure Dubai RTA new bus routes serve residents more directly and reduce unnecessary travel.

What This Means for You?

When Dubai RTA new bus routes kick in, getting around should feel more seamless with less waiting, shorter rides, and better connections to metro, tram, and marine transport.

Whether you’re a student, an industrial worker, or planning a weekend outing, the updates make public transport a more attractive choice, especially if you’re heading to or from key spots.

What Officials Say

Adel Shakri, Director of Planning & Business Development at RTA, shared that the updates come in response to Dubai’s population growth and evolving urban layout. He emphasized how the changes are part of a broader strategy to integrate buses with other transport modes, aiming to make public commuting the most efficient option across the emirate.

Dubai RTA New Bus Routes

Smarter Routes, Smoother Travel

In short, Dubai RTA new bus routes are about more than just adding buses, they’re about bringing transport that fits your life: faster, clearer, and more connected.

From August 29, whether you’re catching a bus from the Silicon Oasis tech park or heading home from Al Quoz, these updates are designed to help you get there with ease.

If you’d like, I can also prepare a user-friendly map or a simple table summarizing routes and travel times for easy glanceability, just say the word!
