PAKISTAN BATTING:

Pakistan’s openers Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan began with caution, reaching 11 runs without loss by the end of 2 overs in the Asia Cup 2025 final against India in Dubai. India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and chose to field, but the team was dealt a blow as Hardik Pandya was sidelined due to a minor injury, with Rinku Singh coming into the squad. Jasprit Bumrah and Shivam Dube returned to the starting XI, replacing Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh. Pakistan, meanwhile, stuck with the same lineup that defeated Bangladesh in their previous outing

At the end of 8 overs, Pakistan are 64/0.

8.4: Kuldeep Yadav to Sahibzada Farhan, FIFTY FOR FARHAN! Back-to-back fifties against India from Sahibzada! Just a raise of the bat from the Pakistani opener this time around.

9.4: Varun Chakaravarthy to Sahibzada Farhan, OUT! c Tilak Varma b Varun Chakaravarthy.

11.2: Tilak Varma to Fakhar Zaman, FOUR! SMASHED! Loose from Tilak as this is a genuine half-volley, on off. Fakhar Zaman skips down the track and bludgeons it over the bowler for a boundary. 100 UP FOR PAKISTAN IN 11.2 OVERS!

12.5: Kuldeep Yadav to Saim Ayub, OUT! GONE! CAUGHT! Kuldeep Yadav breaks this brewing 29-run partnership for the second wicket.

13.3: Axar Patel to Mohammad Haris, OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! India get another wicket in a quick interval! Mohammad Haris departs for a two-baller and from 113/1, Pakistan have slipped down to 114/3.

14.4: Varun Chakaravarthy to Fakhar Zaman, OUT! c Kuldeep Yadav b Varun Chakaravarthy.

15.3: Axar Patel to Hussain Talat, OUT! c Sanju Samson b Axar Patel.

16.1: Kuldeep Yadav to Salman Agha, OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! A well-judged catch from Sanju Samson and the slide continues for Pakistan!

16.4: Kuldeep Yadav to Shaheen Afridi, OUT! LBW! India get the review right this time and Shaheen Afridi goes without troubling the scorers!

16.6: Kuldeep Yadav to Faheem Ashraf, OUT! CAUGHT! Uninspiring display of batting continues from Pakistan!

17.5: Jasprit Bumrah to Haris Rauf, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Haris Rauf cannot do much about it!

19.1: Jasprit Bumrah to Mohammad Nawaz, OUT! IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! Jasprit Bumrah completes the clean-up job! A collapse of epic proportions!

PAKISTAN ALL OUT AT THE SCORE OF 146!!!!

INDIA BATTING:

India is set to begin their run chase. The umpires make their way out to the field, followed closely by Salman Agha and his team as the Pakistani players take their positions. Opening the batting for India, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill stride confidently towards the crease. Shaheen Afridi readies himself for the pivotal first over of this innings—a phase where he is renowned for striking early blows. Pakistan will be looking for early breakthroughs in these first six overs to put immediate pressure on India. Abhishek takes guard for the first delivery. Here we go!

1.1: Faheem Ashraf to Abhishek Sharma, OUT! CAUGHT! How about that for a start? Faheem Ashraf gets the massive wicket of Abhishek Sharma on the very first ball.

2.3: Shaheen Afridi to Suryakumar Yadav, OUT! CAUGHT! Shaheen Afridi strikes a massive blow now! The Indian skipper falls cheaply yet again. Afridi rolls his fingers over the ball and angles it across the right-hander, on a length. Suryakumar plays in front of his body and the ball is not full enough for the drive. Chips it uppishly with his feet going nowhere. It dips in front of Salman Agha at mid off as he charges in and puts in a dive.

3.6: Faheem Ashraf to Shubman Gill, OUT! c Haris Rauf b Faheem Ashraf. They are 20/3 at the end of 4 overs.

12.2: Abrar Ahmed to Sanju Samson, OUT! c Sahibzada Farhan b Abrar Ahmed.

19.4: Haris Rauf to Rinku Singh, FOUR! RINKU SINGH FINISHES OFF IN STYLE! INDIA WIN THE ASIA CUP 2025!

Tilak Varma guides India to 5-wicket win over Pakistan in Dubai

Closing of India Vs Pakistan

India have clinched their ninth Asia Cup title in thrilling fashion, overcoming arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai! Despite losing key wickets early in their chase, a composed innings from Tilak Varma and a stylish finish from Rinku Singh guided India to a memorable five-wicket victory. Kuldeep Yadav’s four-wicket haul, complemented by impactful contributions from Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah, paved the way for this historic triumph. With this win, India once again affirmed their dominance in Asian cricket, making it a night to remember for fans across the world. Congratulations to Team India, Champions of Asia Cup 2025!
