November 23, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: In the nation, travelling has been made simpler with the India visa on arrival for UAE residents being introduced by the country in three other airports to ease the travel of citizens. This will enhance bilateral relations and address the increasing demand of Emirati citizens to access India more easily.

The plan has extended the issuance of visas to nine big airports, which provide better alternatives for business trips, tourism and health visits as well as conferences. This expansion strongly supports the India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents initiative.

According to the Indian Embassy in the UAE, Visa on Arrival for UAE nationals will now be offered at Cochin, Calicut and Ahmedabad besides Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.

This growth facilitates trans-border movement to both countries for those tourists who frequent the two nations and demonstrates the willingness of India to provide smooth travel and high security.  These new airports also improve access under the India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents program.

In the past, the program used to serve six airports only, leading to congestion in secondary hubs. Including a series of three additional airports demonstrates the availability of the Indian government to the needs of the travellers and the market demand. The increased network provides the UAE citizens with more convenient flight routes, eliminating the visa logistics problems. This is expected to boost the efficiency of the India Visa on arrival for UAE Residents system.

Eligibility and Requirements for India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents

This is an initiative for the UAE nationals who have an e-visa or a paper visa. The newcomers have to be registered at the Indian Embassy, Abu Dhabi, or the Consulate General, Dubai. Once registered, they are allowed to take advantage of the simplified visa-on-arrival facility in the participating airports when they come back. Upon arrival, the travellers should have the following documents at the immigration point: a passport that has at least six months of validity, a completed application form, a disembarkation card and passport-sized photographs. The government can also demand the financial and residential documents to prove the credentials of the traveller. These rules also apply to those using the India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents option.

Stay Duration and Entry Conditions for India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents

The visa holders may remain in India up to 60 days. The visa is not renewable, and it cannot be changed to another category. It does not have any yearly quota; the visa can be utilised by eligible UAE nationals several times a year, provided that they satisfy all the requirements. The India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents system offers this flexibility.

Visa on Arrival includes tourism, business meetings, professional conferences and medical appointments. Officers are allowed to give a 60-day validity of two entries to enable the traveller to leave India temporarily in case of necessity. This is flexible to different travel requirements and strengthens the convenience of the India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents pathway.

Limitations of Strategy and Material Exclusions

The program safeguards the immigration interests of India. It is not accessible to persons whose parents or grandparents were born in or permanently resided in Pakistan. These tourists have to make applications separately and collect a visa from an embassy.  These tourists have to make applications separately and collect a visa from an embassy instead of using the India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents.

Also included are diplomatic or official passport holders. Instead, they will have to undergo certain procedures and produce necessary documents according to the diplomatic rules. These exceptions make the program traveller-oriented and maintain national security while still supporting the India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents structure.

Strengthening UAE-India Relations by Means of Enhanced Mobility

Such growth makes the UAE a favourable tourist and business ally to New Delhi. It is a reflection of the UAE programs providing visa-on-arrival policies to Indian citizens. The show will enhance the competitiveness of India and improve its relationship with the Arabian Sea by streamlining the visa processes in additional airports. This expansion further strengthens the India Visa on Arrival for UAE Residents framework.
