Extended operation times along with free public parking introduced to support movement around Dubai throughout the holiday period

Extended Eid Transport Schedule Announced

An update in timetable made by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for Eid 2026 will be followed up by the Dubai Tram and Dubai Metro. Operation durations have been expanded to support increased travel demand during the festival. The following changes form part of the official Eid transport schedule, mainly designed to make sure smoother transit flow.

Metro and Tram Timings During Eid

The Dubai Metro adjusts operating hours – service begins at 5:00 AM and ends at 1:00 AM the following day. The Dubai Tram extends its schedule too – boarding opens at 6:00 AM and runs to 1:00 AM, starting from March 18 to March 22. Both systems support public access throughout the period.

Because of these updates, travelling across key areas becomes more consistent during the festive period. Under the Eid transport schedule, access remains broadened, supporting increased passenger needs with steady operation.

Regular Times for Comparison

Usually, the timings of Dubai Metro is from 5:00 AM to midnight between Monday and Thursday and also on Saturday. On Friday, this service continues until 1:00 AM. On Sundays, it sees a delayed start, with beginning at 8:00 AM and ending by midnight. The Eid transport schedule allows broader access than these regular intervals, improving overall connectivity.

Free Public Parking Available

Starting with Eid’s first day, public parking throughout Dubai will carry no fee until the festival’s end of the third day. The RTA confirms this change comes alongside revised transit operations during the holiday period. Not included in the waiver are multi-storey parking structures, where standard rules remain in place.

All ground-level city zones fall within the exemption, offering wider access without cost. Ease of movement becomes simpler for both residents and visitors under these adjusted conditions.

Adjusted Service Hours Across RTA

During the holiday stretch—projected for March 19 through March 21—the authority has introduced updated operating times for customer service centres and related services. Efficiency across the festivities remains a priority, with these changes aligning closely with the overall Eid transport schedule in place for the period.
