Authorities urge people to stay prepared as thunder, lightning, and possible hail and unstable weather conditions develop across different parts of the UAE this week
Unstable Conditions Expected Across UAE
The UAE weather alert shows a shift in atmospheric conditions. Rainfall may occur on March 21, Saturday. People are advised to stay prepared. Skies will stay partly cloudy to dark, with the formation of convectional clouds bringing scattered showers across different regions, stated the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Chances of Thunder, Lightning, and Hail
Aligning with the UAE weather alert, meteorologists have highlighted that some areas could experience lightning and thunder. There is a little chance of hail in limited areas, mainly during periods of escalating cloud formation expected in the coming days.

Wind with Low Visibility
Occasionally, shifting wind directions emerge across the UAE, moving from southeast toward northeast. At times, these flows may grow stronger, reaching peaks to 40 km/h after starting from 10–25 km/h. Visibility might drop due to blowing dust, especially in open areas.
Temperature Forecast of Abu Dhabi and Dubai
With the rain forecast, the UAE weather alert states that temperatures will stay relatively warm. Abu Dhabi is forecast to see increase of around 32°C and lows near 23°C. While Dubai may experience a maximum of 31°C and a minimum of 24°C.

Sea Conditions to Turn Rough at Times
Under the UAE weather alert, marine conditions are also affected. The Oman Sea and Arabian Gulf are expected to be feeble to moderate overall, but could turn rough at times, mainly with increased cloud activity and powerful winds.
Precautions Taken by NCEMA
Preventive measures have been operated by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA). Working along with the Ministry of Interior and NCM, authorities are closely observing growth and ensuring preparedness across important sectors, including planning of business continuity.
