The past few weeks have tested the resilience of the UAE like never before. And yet, the country has emerged stronger, and more resolute, showing the world that its beauty cannot be mistaken for weakness. In the face of an unreasonable war, the country and its leadership displayed an unflinching resolve to not just protect its sovereignty but also underscore just how strong its fundamental values are.

To celebrate this spirit, a young director Ayman Sayyed has come up with a patriotic ode that is sure to resonate with anyone who calls the UAE their home. ‘Aye Watan’ is that poetic tribute. Sung and composed by Sajid Khan of the Sajid-Wajid fame (known for the music in films like Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya, Tere Naam, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Partner, Dabbang and many more), the song was launched in Dubai on Friday, May 1 2026.
It features some of the most prominent faces from the UAE including former Bigg Boss 16 contestant Abdu Rozik, singer Shweta Subram, Journalist, radio presenter and reviewer Ronak Kotecha aka Reviewron, RJ Mariyam Kismat, entrepreneur Haanif Shaikh, Dyuti Parrack, Tabinda Sanpal, Sadiq Ahmed, Manan Shaikh Dr. Sidra, Bharat Harpalani, Zabeen Sheikh, Khushbu Jain, Mansoor singer Fahmil Khan, influencers Tausif & Maria, Ahmed Al Marzooqi from Chai with Ahmed, influencer Priya Jethani and director Ayman Sayyed himself along with his fiance Afra Shaikh.

Also present at the event was choreographer and Instagram sensation Salman Yusuff Khan and Muskaan Khan, the Sajid Khan’s daughter and the CEO of Wasaka Music, who came first came up with the idea of ‘Aye Watan’.

The song’s emotional core has a universal appeal with goosebumps inducing beats and the music has a steady rhythm that brings out a sense of pride and belonging. The lyrics by Kunal Verma are relatable and will touch the hearts of millions living in the UAE. “This is my love letter to the UAE,” says Ayman Sayyed, who has been living and breathing ‘Aye Watan’ for the past few weeks, as he brought together a distinctive line-up of local and international celebrities to be featured in the video.
Released on Wasakamusical, “Aye Watan” is more than just a patriotic song—it’s a heartfelt reminder of the shared emotion of belonging, the feeling of calling a country home that unites people beyond boundaries.
