Dubai, UAE, May 13, 2025 — Dubai’s du has set a new Guinness World Record™ for the longest supported TikTok livestream, over 30 hours of continuous, on-the-go broadcasting solely driven by the capabilities of du’s 5G network.

During the last three years, du has invested in next-generation infrastructure, which has seen the UAE enjoy the widest 5G coverage, gigabit-class speeds, and ultra-low latency that makes streaming, cloud gaming, and real-time collaboration run without interruption.

Record-breaking “Unstoppable Network” activation put that capability to the public test, subjecting every challenge possible to the 5G coverage of du: a single smartphone no spares, no wired lines was handed from creator to creator on a two-day road trip across the seven Emirates, from Abu Dhabi mangrove kayaking to Liwa dune-bashing, zip-lining over Ras Al Khaimah, finishing with a sunrise hot-air-balloon ride over Dubai. During the 1,800-minute relay, the stream was never buffered, lagged, or dropped.

We challenged the nation to sit back, observe our network attempt to fail and it just wouldn’t. Setting a World Record wasn’t the aim; showcasing, in real-time, that du keeps you live anytime, anywhere was.
