Dubai, United Arab Emirates- December 17, 2025: BenQ Middle East has introduced its new monitor lighting innovation, the ScreenBar® Series, at a magnificent launch event that took place in Dubai. The series includes the innovative ScreenBar® Halo 2 and the fashionable ScreenBar® Pro Black & Silver, to be the new standard in workspace lighting suited for the creators, gamers and professionals who consider comfort, accuracy, and aesthetics as their top priority.

Innovation Focused on Eye Comfort

The ScreenBar® Halo 2 is the result of 4 years of research and development. It is an advanced ergonomic lighting fixture that presents a major upgrade. The dual-light design, which is one of the features of the luminary, produces both the front and the back light and it greatly adds the overall lighting in the working area. The newly developed triple-curvature backlight not only increases the coverage area by 423% but also helps to bring down the contrast between the monitors and the light coming from the surroundings which reduces the eye strain caused by working long hours.

The front light system is equipped with BenQ’s proprietary ASYM-Light™ technology which employs an asymmetrical optical structure with an 18-degree cut-off angle that completely removes screen glare and keeps the light away from the eyes. This perfect engineering guarantees ideal visual comfort which is the main requirement of digital creators and modern professionals.

Scientifically Engineered for Balanced Lighting

BenQ, in partnership with the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, performed thorough investigations to optimize the Halo 2’s performance. The device complies with the ANSI specification for luminance ratios, which means that the maximum difference in brightness between the monitor and its environment is always kept pleasantly at a ratio of 3:1. This lighting arrangement, on the one hand, allows the viewer to concentrate and, on the other hand, does not strain the eyes due to the unbalanced lighting.

Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East, emphasized the brand’s user-centric approach, stating:

“At BenQ Middle East, we are proud to introduce the ScreenBar® Series to Dubai, a city that thrives on creativity and innovation. The ScreenBar® Halo 2 and ScreenBar® Pro are designed to deliver complete illumination and maximum comfort, empowering creators, gamers, and professionals to work and play with reduced eye strain and better focus.”

Elegant Design and Smarter Functionality

The BenQ ScreenBar® Pro Black & Silver edition still goes on to be a premium designer piece. It has a strong gravity-based zinc-alloy clamp that will not leave any trace on the surface and it can be used with very thin, curved, or designer monitors and even more models. Halo 2 and Pro models have the same smart features including auto-dimming, auto on/off, and custom memory settings, so they provide the lighting experience that is adaptive and personalized.

The Halo 2 designed with MINIMAL Design led by Scott Wilson, at that time receives a high-polished metal and very little appearance that naturally blends in with expensive home office and professional setups. The product works well with BenQ’s PD Designer, EX MOBIUZ, GW Eye Care, and MA Macbook monitor lines making it a perfect fit for sophisticated work environments.

Precision Control for Professional Use

Among the notable upgrades is the newly designed wireless control dial, equipped with anti-fingerprint coating for a premium tactile experience. According to JC Pan, Chief Product Designer at BenQ Smart Lighting, the controller has been engineered for effortless precision:

“We’ve developed an intuitive and smooth control system that lets users adjust brightness from 0–100% and color temperature between 2700K and 6500K. It’s ideal for color grading, content creation, or late-night work sessions.”

Setting New Standards in Smart Lighting

BenQ continues to reinforce its leadership in the smart lighting sector by integrating adaptive technologies that respond intelligently to workspace conditions. Manish Bakshi added that the Middle East, as a rapidly growing hub for digital professionals and gamers, deserves lighting solutions that support performance and well-being.

“With the ScreenBar® Series, BenQ Middle East is delivering smarter lighting that evolves with the user, ensuring healthier, more productive environments.”

The new BenQ ScreenBar® Series is now available for purchase on Amazon.ae across the UAE and will soon be accessible in other Middle Eastern markets.

Since introducing the world’s first monitor light bar in 2017, BenQ Smart Lighting has maintained its commitment to innovation in professional lighting. Focused on improving eye comfort and productivity, BenQ continues to design intelligent, user-centric lighting solutions that enhance modern work environments around the globe.
