Dubai, December 28th, 2025: Dubai is preparing to make it big when it comes to celebrating the New Year Eve 2026, and it is set to be one of the biggest end-year celebrations ever. On 31st December, 2025, the city will be lit up with 48 firework shows throughout 40 locations, surpassing the 36 fireworks displays last year which will also provide the residents and the visitors with an unforgettable new year. 

The fireworks from the 48 firework shows will be ignited all around the skyline of Dubai, starting with the awe-inspiring Burj Khalifa, to scenic waterfronts and busy entertainment districts, and it will be one of the most glamorous and universally available New Year Eve celebrations in recent history. As Dubai celebrate New year eve 2026, there are safety measures taken into consideration.

Fireworks Everywhere: A City Wide Festivity

Dubai celebrate New year eve 2026 and will put into focus some of the most notable landmarks in Dubai. The major locations on which the fireworks from the 48 firework shows, will be shown are the tall Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai Festival City, the Dubai Creek Harbour, the Bluewaters, the Burj Al Arab, the Expo City Dubai, the Global Village, the Atlantis The Palm and the Palm Jebel Ali. Fireworks in such places will make sure that there is a festive mood in all areas of the city. 

The wide spread of the 48 firework shows as Dubai celebrate New year eve 2026 throughout the 40 locations is also beneficial as the authorities can control the safety of crowds, and the huge numbers of spectators can see the spectacular shows without congesting one spot. 

Security And Safety Of High Standards

A large-scale security operation in order to guarantee the safety of the people is planned as Dubai celebrate New year eve 2026 with 48 firework shows:

  • Approximately more than 23,000 security officers will be stationed in the city and will comprise 55 government and privatized agencies. This has almost 9,884 officers of the Dubai Police with over 13,500 private security personnel.
  • There will also be a variety of patrol units such as mounted, bicycle patrols, marine rescue boats and on the list goes.
  • There will be approximately 1,800 people and more than 160 vehicles on standby with the Civil Defence teams. 

This has been termed by the officials as one of the largest New Year Eve security operations that has ever taken place in the history of Dubai. This is known as Transportation and Medical Preparedness.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is ready to accommodate the number of people who are likely to be in attendance at the celebrations. This overall transport plan encompasses:

  • A fleet of 14,000 taxis and 1,300 public buses.
  • Metro trains 107 on the network.

More than 5,500 RTA employees who take care of the flowing traffic all over the city. As Dubai celebrate New year eve 2026, medical preparedness is also a major priority – the company has more than 230 ambulances, 635 paramedics, and approximately 1900 medical personnel that are on call. There will be several hospitals and outdoor clinics that will be running during the night to guarantee quick response to any health requirement. 

A New Year To Remember

Dubai City will see its skyline illuminated with news and grand 48 firework shows, there will be a heavy presence of safety systems in place and the infrastructure will also comfortably cater to the celebrations. As Dubai celebrate New year eve 2026, it aims for a memorable event to both its residents and visitors. Law enforcers are urging all people to celebrate the events in a responsible manner, consider safety measures and use the available transport options to ensure they maximise on this sparkling event.
