Dubai- UAE: Dubai has presented an amazing new program , the Dubai Cycling Pass. that aims to make people lead a healthier lifestyle, increase the sports culture in the city, and make it one of the best tourist spots in the world. The programme was declared starting on Saturday and at the Nad Al Sheba Cycling Track, hundreds of cycling lovers, residents, and tourists were at the opening events, which indicated a well-developed community participation and support.

An Alternative New Vision Of Active City Living

General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) was the pioneer of the Dubai Cycling Pass working with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Sports Council. The project is part of the wider strategy in Dubai of connecting sport, wellbeing and city exploration, or in its slogan, From the Airport to the Track.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri who is the Director General of GDRFA Dubai stressed that the organisation does not only focus on traditional entry and residency services. According to his explanation, the Dubai Cycling Pass will unite digital innovation and living an active lifestyle, and it will also provide people with new opportunities to interact with various environments the city offers.

Nine Scenic Routes For All Bicycle Riders

The Dubai Cycling Pass links riders to nine formally accepted cycling paths throughout the emirate, which attract an extensive variety of skills, including families and amateur bikers to more experienced ones. These roads display the urban, coastal and natural scenery of Dubai and comprise:

  • Nad Al Sheba–Meydan
  • Mushrif Park
  • Jumeirah Corniche
  • Al Qudra–Saih Al Salam
  • Dubai Marina
  • Al Khawaneej
  • Dubai Water Canal
  • Mushrif Mountain Bike Track
  • Hatta Mountain Bike Track

The tracks, covering the city boulevards to desert tracks and mountainous terrain, are a testimony to the effort by the Dubai government to provide inclusive sporting experiences, which both residents and travelers will enjoy.

A Health, Wellbeing And Tourism Boost

Authorities stressed that the project is aimed at enhancing the well-being and health of the community by promoting the use of the vast cycling network in Dubai. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General to the Dubai Sports Council, highlighted that such programmes will facilitate active lives by ensuring that sport is more convenient and fun.

According to Issam Kazim, the CEO of Dubai Corporation of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai Cycling Pass is fitting in the vision of the emirate tourism integrating fitness and exploration to make the city more attractive to visitors and place Dubai as the place where active lifestyle is considered as a normal way of life.

Moving The Future Of Dubai

The Dubai Cycling Pass is based on continuing the development of sports infrastructure and opportunities of physical activities within the city. Dubai already contains a vast network of fixed cycling paths and bike-sharing services which made this city attract many thousands of riders instead of transportation emission in recent years.

This initiative will be an icon of the dedication to wellbeing, sustainability, and inclusive tourism by Dubai, making people of all backgrounds and life levels pedal in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
