This $9 million investment will be based in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) and will revolutionize the artificial skin market in the region. This structure will be developed in phases. Phase One of this structure is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2025, whereas it is expected to complete by 2027.
Ayu Life Sciences will manufacture its flagship products, such as Velgraft-an artificial skin substitute meant for scar-free healing, Velvert-a natural antimicrobial wound dressing, and VelNez-an ear and nasal dressing for post-surgical recovery. These products are backed by 22 global patents, using eco-friendly natural materials aimed at minimal environmental impact.
The facility in Dubai was established in response to high global demand for advanced products for wound care. According to forecasts, the artificial skin market is expected to increase from $3.1 billion in 2024 to $5.3 billion by 2032.
