October 8, 2025 | Abu Dhabi, UAE: In preparation for the nation’s 54th National Day celebrations, the UAE government has officially released the Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines, outlining how the event’s visual identity, tone, and messaging should appear across all public and private sector communications. The move reflects the country’s commitment to presenting a unified image during one of its most symbolic national celebrations.

What the Eid Al Etihad Brand Guidelines Mean?

The Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines serve as a comprehensive framework for how organizations, institutions, and media outlets should represent the UAE’s National Day also known as Eid Al Etihad. The guidelines define everything from logo usage and typography to color palettes, photographic styles, and digital applications.

Officials explained that the initiative ensures a consistent and dignified portrayal of the UAE’s unity, pride, and cultural heritage. This year’s guidelines also integrate modern design elements, digital adaptability, and accessibility standards to align with the nation’s forward-looking vision.

A Unified National Identity

The release of the Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines comes as the UAE continues to strengthen its brand identity globally. National events such as Eid Al Etihad are not just celebrations, they are statements of unity and progress.

According to the team behind the project, the goal is to maintain a balance between heritage and innovation. The new guidelines promote clean, minimalist designs that highlight the UAE flag colors red, green, white, and black, while incorporating dynamic patterns inspired by Emirati architecture and nature.

By following the Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines, companies, schools, and government bodies can ensure their materials from banners to digital posts reflect a single, cohesive story of the nation.

Design Philosophy and Modern Touch

This year’s visual theme embraces simplicity with symbolism. The Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines emphasize the use of contemporary typefaces, geometric layouts, and high-resolution imagery that portrays Emirati culture with elegance.

A key focus has been placed on inclusivity and modern technology. Designers are encouraged to ensure visuals are mobile-friendly, multilingual, and accessible to all audiences. The guidelines also provide specifications for Arabic and English typography to maintain harmony in bilingual communication.

Government agencies have praised the effort for setting a new standard in visual storytelling. “The Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines help us express national pride in a way that feels authentic and modern,” said one communications director. “It’s not just design, it’s about emotion and unity.”

Implementation Across Sectors

All ministries, schools, cultural institutions, and media organizations are expected to adopt the Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines across their campaigns. From social media visuals to outdoor advertisements and television graphics, every representation of the National Day will follow these standardized rules.

The goal is to present the UAE as a nation that celebrates creativity while preserving uniformity. Private companies are also encouraged to adapt the branding framework for their internal events and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with the official aesthetic.

Workshops and digital toolkits have been launched to help designers and communication teams interpret the Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines correctly. These resources include downloadable assets, visual examples, and instructions for proper implementation.

Symbolism of Eid Al Etihad

Eid Al Etihad meaning “Festival of the Union”  commemorates the founding of the United Arab Emirates in 1971. Every year, the event brings together millions of residents to celebrate the nation’s unity, achievements, and vision for the future.

By standardizing the creative direction through the Eid Al Etihad brand guidelines, the UAE reinforces the deeper message of the day that strength lies in togetherness. It’s a reminder that while the UAE is home to over 200 nationalities, its identity remains proudly united under one flag.
