- Half of the adults (50%) agree that the Google Search engine is essential for their lives.
- 63% of adults in the UAE said they have used Gemini, Google’s AI Assistant.
- 90% of users agreed that Gemini helped them to be more productive.
- 71% of users agreed that Gemini is easier to use in Arabic than other AI chatbots.
- 89% of adults in the UAE say that Google helps them in navigation, and they use Google Maps/Waze to avoid getting lost.
- 90% of adults in the UAE agreed that contactless payments on mobile devices through apps such as GPay or GWallet make their lives easier.
Boosting Businesses’ Growth And Reach To A Wider Audience
“We estimate that AI tools would help increase productivity across the UAE by 15 per cent – equivalent to 310 hours per offer, reallocated to higher value tasks each year,” said Amy Price, director and head of technology, media and telecom prices at Public First.

- Over 20,000 journalists and journalism students were trained by the Google News Initiative across the MENA region, including the UAE.
Public First conducted the above surveys with 1110 online adults and 389 business leaders, all based in the USA. The language used for the survey was English and Arabic, and it was conducted in March 2025. The results were weighted with due measures to provide accurate and reliable data.
