July 24, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: This milestone was achieved today, during the third and final One Day International of the series India Women vs England Women, in which Indian captain Kaur made the first visiting woman batter to score 3 centuries in ODI women’s cricket in England.

Her score of 102 runs with a strike rate of 121.71 with 14 fours brought India’s score to 318/5 and won the series by 13 runs. Sharne also made her the third Indian woman to score 4, 000 runs in women’s ODI and the first overseas women cricketer to score 3 centuries in ODI cricket in England. With Goud grabbing six wickets and Kaur’s strong performance, India secured an incredible milestone in the India Women vs England Women saga.

A Century of History on English Soil in the India Women vs England Women Series

Harmanpreet Kaur attained 102 runs from 84 deliveries, exceptional composure and practical proficiency. Her innings were 14 well-placed boundaries, and was instrumental in guiding India to a total exceeding 300 runs. She constructed two important partnerships, with Harleen Deol adding an 81-run and with Jemimah Rodrigues adding a 110-run. These dual partnerships delivered  critical stability and momentum to the Indian batting lineup. She puts England under immense pressure in the series of India Women vs England Women

With this hit, she is known as the first female cricketer to score three ODI centuries on English soil. Harmanpreet attained the 4,000-run mark in Women’s ODIs and her milestone already creates heartful meaning in the history of women cricket.

In this pleasant moment after the post-match, she expressed it “a proud occasion for the team of Indian Women’s Cricket” and cordially extended her appreciation to her teammates. Furthermore, each and every one’s support has played a vital role in their successful match. We played from the heart and arrived with a purpose.

A Dominant Victory in Leeds That Altered the Course

The third ODI came with the Women’s India and England series tied at one apiece. India was led by Deepti Sharma to a thrilling victory in the first match, but England came back to have a commanding win in the second. No doubt the decision was fully Indian.

Team India was exceptional with the ball, defending a challenging total of 318 runs. Young pace sensation Kranti Goud decimated England’s weak batting order, claiming 6 wickets and conceding only 52 runs, and England fell short of 200 in the India Women vs England Women series.

India’s fielding and sharp death bowling ensured the victory as England’s skipper Nat SciverBrunt put up a valiant 98. “Each wicket was important tonight; this showcases the outcome when a team is connected and has faith in one another,” Goud remarked, contemplating her outstanding performance.

India Women vs England Women

The latest triumph strengthens the standing of Indian Women’s cricket in light of the forthcoming international tournaments, while also altering the storyline of the India Women vs England Women series. The complete performance of Team India consists of phenomenal batting, consistent bowling, and adaptable captaincy is the perfect blueprint for Indian sides in international tournaments.

A first for women’s international cricket: the first visiting batter to record three ODI hundreds in England. Later, she exceeded the 4,000-run mark in Women’s ODIs, followed by the Indian greats Mithali Raj and Smriti Mandhana in an exclusive club of top run-scorers. Securing the India Women vs England Women series for India and achieving these milestones sets a standard for tourists dealing with difficulties in England

The Indian Women’s team and support staff also consider this to be a major stepping stone for upcoming competitions, especially the ICC Women’s World Cup of 2026. Captain Kaur said: “This series triumph illustrates what we can do with belief and unity.” The entire team is excitedly looking forward to what future ahead.
