June 24, 2025 | Dubai, UAE – Following Iran attack on Qatar targeting the military base of the United States on June 23, 2025, US military states that they are taking appropriate measures to safeguard their personnel in Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi. The United States Air Forces Central Command (AFCENT) stated that they are taking serious safety measures to reinforce the security of its military bases. Although, AFCENT stated that the details are kept confidential due to operational reasons. Information such as deployment of aircraft, personnel or capabilities to the US Central Command centre has not been disclosed. However, assurance regarding improved protocols after the Iran attack on Qatar has been given. 

UAE Responds To The Iran Attack On Qatar

The UAE has shown serious condemnation of the Iranian attack on the Al Udeid US military base in Qatar.

“The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms the targeting of Al Udeid Air Base in the State of Qatar by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, considering it a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Qatar and its airspace, which constitutes a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter,” says the UAE’s Ministry of foreign affair against the Iran attacks on Qatar. 

UAE also emphasises its categorical rejection of any such Iran attack on Qatar that endangers the state’s security and stability, noting that such threats also jeopardise the stability of the wider region of the Gulf. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE extended its complete solidarity and unwavering support to the State of Qatar and their citizens.

Iran Launches Retribution For the US’s Strike On Monday

The Iran attack on Qatar that took place on the night of June 23, 2025, was a response to the US’s missile strikes on the nuclear bases of Iran. As per the official statement of the Iranian Armed Forces, the attack was carried out on orders of the Supreme National Security Council and under the leadership of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command. Following this, the IGRC carried out a “strong and destructive missile strike.”

Ain al-Assad base, housing U.S. troops in western Iraq, was also an Iranian target. Iran states that any violation of its territorial integrity, sovereignty, or national security would not be left unanswered. America’s largest base in West Asia at Al Udeid had over 10,000 soldiers, but no lives were lost or injured in the attacks. 

Response Of Other Nations Following The Attacks

Several nations across the Gulf, as well as globally, have strongly disapproved of Iran attack on Qatar. The following are some nations’ statements regarding the Al  military base attack :

  1. Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the Iran attack on Qatar, calling it unjustifiable. “This aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of good neighbourliness. It is unacceptable and cannot be justified under any circumstances,” it added.
  1. Bahrain – The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemns the attack targeting the State of Qatar by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. It calls the attack a flagrant violation of the state’s sovereignty. It also states that Bahrain’s support and solidarity lie with Qatar.
  1. France – French president Emannuel Macron writes on X, “The spiral of chaos must end. I call on all parties to exercise the utmost restraint, de-escalate and return to the negotiating table.” He strongly disapproves of the US’s missile strikes as well as Iran’s retaliation.

Agreement Of Both Sides On Ceasefire

According to the latest news, both Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire following what US President Donald Trump calls a “12-day war” in the Middle East. Both Iran and Israel agreed to the ceasefire following a final wave of attacks, when Iran fired missiles at Israel, killing at least four people in the early morning on Tuesday, and Israel launched another round of missiles at Iran.

“THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!  DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES,” US President Donald said in a post on Truth Social.
