Three people have been confirmed dead and 58 injured as Iranian Aggression Continues for the Second Straight Day across the UAE. According to the UAE Ministry of Defence , air defence systems have intercepted 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 drones since Saturday, February 28, 2026, when Iran began aerial attacks.

On Sunday morning, March 1, 2026, officials confirmed that 20 ballistic missiles were destroyed, while eight missiles fell into the sea. Authorities emphasized that Iranian Aggression Continues for the Second Straight Day, but national defence systems remain fully operational.

The ministry confirmed that two cruise missiles and 311 drones were intercepted, though 21 drones struck civilian targets causing minor to moderate property damage. Officials reiterated that Iranian Aggression Continues for the Second Straight Day, yet the UAE’s defence shield has significantly minimized casualties.

The UAE operates the advanced Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system. This U.S.-made anti-ballistic missile defence platform is designed to intercept short- and intermediate-range missiles during their terminal flight phase.

Casualties and Impact on Residents

Victims reportedly include one Pakistani, one Nepali, and one Bangladeshi national. Several others from different countries remain hospitalized. Despite escalation, socio-economic activities across the UAE continue normally.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) , falling debris from intercepted missiles caused minor property damage in multiple areas. Residents are urged to follow verified government updates and avoid unconfirmed reports on social media.

UAE on High Alert as Flight Operations Halted

Authorities confirmed that flight operations remain temporarily suspended until the security situation stabilizes. The UAE Ministry of Defence emphasized that national security forces are fully prepared to respond to any escalation.

As Iranian Aggression Continues for the Second Straight Day, officials reassured citizens, residents, and visitors that public safety remains the highest priority.
