Dubai- UAE: Jebel Jais will be officially reopening on January 31, 2026, on a Saturday, and the adventure seekers and nature lovers will be able to enjoy it.

The mountain that tops the country has been temporarily closed down by the UAE because of the overfalls that had been received in December and has since been fixed and undergone the necessary safety examinations. The landscape is as breathtaking as it has always been, but there are few major changes that have taken place and that you need to remember before you visit.

Reasons Why Jebel Jais Was Closed Down

Ras Al Khaimah had experienced the most rainfall ever in late December, and it fell on certain areas in record amounts within less than 48 hours, compared to the average rainfall and average annual rainfall. This resulted in the water pools, loose rocks and possible danger and safety of mountain roads.

Adopting a safety first strategy, the Jebel Jais authorities shut down the access, conducted a thorough geological examination and had the required repairs carried out. These precautions having been taken, the mountain is prepared to open–to be stronger and safer.

What’s Opening And When

Jebel Jais is re-opening in stages to provide a safe and enjoyable experience to the visitors.

  • January 31, 2026 (Saturday)

Jais Flight – Zipline, the longest in the world, returns to use. Puro 1484 reopened the highest restaurant in the UAE, with unrivaled views and offers a menu with a meal.

  • February 7, 2026

Jais Sky Tour The multi-zipline adventure experience will be making its comeback a week later. The Red Rock area is currently undergoing maintenance work and therefore will not be able to open to the public. It best be cautioned about.

New Entry Rules You Must Know

This is the greatest visitor change. You can no longer drive and see what you feel like. Who Can Enter Freely?

Guests who have a reservation to:

  • Zipline experiences
  • The Jais Sledder
  • 1484 by Puro restaurant

In the case of Casual Visitors, in case you are visiting it to see scenic views, mountain air or hiking or cycling trails, you must purchase a Viewing Deck Park ticket Dh10. It is a minimal cost which enables to regulate the number of visitors and prevents congesting the experience and making it pleasant to everyone.

Pro Tips For A Perfect Visit

Dress in Layers. Although Dubai is surrounded by a comfortable temperature of 23 C, the temperature at the Jebel Jais peak can go as low as 10 C or even less. Take a jacket–you’ll be glad. Also Book Early.

The busiest season is in winter and the high-demand experiences, such as 1484 by Puro and Jais Flight, are quickly reserved. It is strongly advisable that advance bookings be made. Make sure to check the weather. Weather at the mountains is subject to change. Never go without official updates, particularly in winter seasons.

Things To Note As Jebel Jais Reopens

There is no need to rush with adrenaline on the longest zipline in the world or even just have a cup of coffee in the clouds. Jebel Jais is waiting to see you again. The highest peak of the UAE is an unforgettable place to visit due to better security, better entry provisions, and breathtaking views.
