Kalba Development Projects: Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi reveals an ambitious book project tracing the history of the universe while unveiling cultural and tourism developments in Kalba.
A Landmark 100-Volume Historical Series: Kalba Development Projects
Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, has unveiled an ambitious literary project titled “Al Kawn wa Anasi Kathiran.” The work will spread approx 100 volumes, documenting the history of the universe from before the descent of Prophet Adam (PBUH) and covering the lives and missions of all prophets.
Bridging Knowledge and Faith
Sheikh Dr. Sultan explicated the impetus that moved him toward the project: Many people do not know the stories and origins of the prophets. He stressed that the series will stay rooted in authentic sources, ensuring alignment with the Quran while avoiding doubtful narratives. The initiative reflects his commitment to promoting accurate religious and historical understanding.

Promoting Awareness Through Knowledge
According to Sheikh Sultan, foundation of awareness is knowledge. Every individual should keep pace with history, religion, and contemporary issues worldwide. He highlighted the importance of understanding developments not only locally but also of different regions such as China and beyond. With this work, he wants to project a panoramic view of the universe and humanity to the reader.
Kalba Development Projects Take Shape
In an interview with “The Direct Line” program, broadcast by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Sheikh Sultan outlined several Kalba development projects focusing on tourism and cultural activities in the town.
Al Hiyar Lake: A New Natural Attraction
The most important of these was the inauguration of Al Hiyar Lake, located within the Al Hiyar area. This lake will likely prove a major attraction, enhancing the already existing features of nature in and around Kalba, offering visitors a serene recreational destination.

Kalba Heritage Museum as a Living Experience
Details of the workings of the Kalba Heritage Museum have been given, which has been conceptualized as a “living museum”—not through static display but dynamically through the display of traditional arts and crafts. The fully air-conditioned, raised restaurant will sit above the museum with a view of the site and provide participants with an even deeper degree of immersion into the culture on offer.
Shell Theatre: A Unique Architectural Addition
One of the exciting development projects in Kalba is the Shell Theater. Designed to merge with the natural environment around Kalba, the Shell Theater will have a unique entrance from under the water in tune with the area’s rich wildlife, green, and picturesque environment.

A Vision for Culture and Tourism
Through both his literary project and the Kalba development projects, Sheikh Sultan continues to reinforce Sharjah’s position as a hub for culture, education, and heritage. The initiatives reflect a broader vision of blending knowledge, tradition, and modern tourism experiences for future generations.
