As the UAE flights continue to navigate a period of evolving regional conditions, Emirates has introduced a series of flexible measures designed to streamline the travel experience. With regional airspace partially reopened, the airline is operating a limited schedule and prioritizing the safety and security of its passengers and crew. To minimize congestion and reduce unnecessary trips to the airport, Emirates is encouraging all travelers to utilize digital tools to manage their bookings.

Enhanced Digital Rebooking Features

Emirates has significantly upgraded its “Manage Your Booking” portal and mobile app to allow passengers to take control of their travel plans from anywhere in the world.

  • 72-Hour Self-Service: Passengers can now rebook their flights online if their original departure is within 72 hours. This feature allows for the immediate selection of new dates without needing to call a support center.
  • Long-Term Flexibility: Under the current travel waiver, flights can be rescheduled for travel on or before April 30, 2026.
  • Comprehensive Management: When rebooking online, passengers are reminded to re-select their preferred seats, dietary meal requirements, and Chauffeur-drive services to ensure their preferences are carried over to the new itinerary.
  • Direct Support: For those who need to reschedule a flight that is departing more than 72 hours away, Emirates advises reaching out to their support teams via official online channels or through direct messaging for private assistance.

You can now amend bookings and rebook flights online within 72 hours of your original departure date by visiting https://t.co/5naa6fHRxU or “Manage Your Booking” on the Emirates app.

Guidance for Disrupted and Connecting Flights

For passengers whose travel falls between February 28 and March 31, 2026, Emirates is working to proactively re-accommodate travelers.

If your flight has been disrupted, the airline will automatically attempt to rebook you on the next available flight, including connections beyond Dubai. If you are satisfied with the new itinerary provided in the app, no further action is required. However, for those with connecting flights in Dubai that have been cancelled, the airline has issued a strict advisory not to travel to the airport. These passengers must secure a confirmed rebooking for their entire journey before arriving at the terminal to avoid being stranded.

Refunds and Cancellations

For travelers who choose not to fly or whose plans have changed significantly, refund options are available:

  • Direct Bookings: Customers who booked directly with Emirates can submit a request via the online refund form.
  • Travel Agents: If a ticket was purchased through a travel agency, the passenger must contact the agent directly to process the refund or make changes.

Cybersecurity and Travel Readiness

In addition to logistical updates, Emirates is emphasizing passenger safety in the digital space. Fraudsters often monitor social media for travelers seeking help; therefore, passengers are urged never to share booking references, email addresses, or phone numbers in public replies. All private inquiries should be handled via the airline’s official Direct Message (DM) channels.

Before you travel, Emirates recommends the following:

  1. Check Status Regularly: Flight statuses can change rapidly. Monitor the Emirates website frequently, even after you have checked in.
  2. Update Contact Info: Ensure your current mobile number and email are listed in your booking to receive instant notifications regarding delays or cancellations.
  3. Advance Booking: Due to the current limited flight schedule, passengers are advised to book as far in advance as possible to secure seats on available routes.

Emirates remains committed to gradually restoring full operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. By utilizing online management tools, passengers can adjust their plans with confidence and minimal hassle.
