Dubai, April 22, 2025 – The UAE is in the leading edge of a workplace revolution when AI employees are performing the work, which was earlier conducted by up to 100 people in several companies. It has not only improved the efficiency in organizations but also saved a lot of money every month in the form of these employees. The hype created by AI employees concerning about jobs in UAE raises excitement and anxiety regarding the future of work.

AI Employees Transforming UAE Jobs

AI employees also known as AI agents, are digital workers powered by advanced artificial intelligence. They can do customer services, sales, debt collection, or operations., more than 50 companies in the UAE have already welcomed freelancing with such AI employees for the above tasks. They can even help communicate in more than 80 languages, putting them in a good position to coexist in the UAE’s diverse business environment.

Nuha Hashem, co-founder of CozmoX, a leading startup based in the UAE says that the new AI employees need less than a day of training on decade-old data. Once trained, it can be used to make an average of 10,000 calls a day. This would normally require a huge lot of human workers.

Alok Kumar, CEO of CozmoX, explained the company’s vision:

“We believe AI agents are going to become the norm in the future. We build AI agents for public and private sector entities and also provide them the infrastructure to create their own AI agents to do all their manual tasks such as sales, operations, customer support etc.”

Impact on Job Loss and Company Savings

Employment by AI employees is making a significant change in UAE jobs. Some hospitals and healthcare clinics in the UAE have more than $30,000 savings by approving AI employees. More than $100,000 per month has been saved at big public sector organizations. These savings arise from reducing manual repetitive work by machines and allocating to employees more important and creative tasks.

One of the frequent queries-is AI causing unemployment? According to Alok Kumar, the answer is no.
He stated:

“Nobody lost jobs and actually, they got productive because of their AI solutions. To be honest with you, a lot of people come to us and say, because of this solution, now we don’t have to actually do the manual work which makes us less productive. Now we are focused on actual work which actually produces an impact.”

Specifically, AI employment does not entail the termination of jobs in CozmoX along with its clients. Human workers are seen providing productivity towards creative and decision-making tasks only.

Global Perspective: Are Jobs at Risk?

While the UAE story on AI employees has been very positive, global trends suggest a rather mixed bag. Some studies say that almost 40% of back-office jobs will be extinct across the globe due to AI effects, particularly in the sectors of finance, customer service, and manufacturing.

Recently, a survey was conducted in which roughly 11% of the working population stated they had themselves lost a job to AI, while 10% claimed to have known someone who had been made redundant in a similar fashion. But of course, such figures will not apply uniquely to the UAE, which is presently entering a number of innovative reskilling and upskilling initiatives for workers to switch job roles.

The UAE government and Middle Eastern countries are pouring their budgets into education and training on AI for new workers, too, to seize future openings made possible by innovations in AI, programming, robotics, and cybersecurity. Rather, the training is aimed at producing manpower that can live together with AI workers, not just compete against them.

Key Notes About AI Employees and UAE Jobs

  • AI employees can perform the work of up to 100 humans.
  • Over 50 companies in the UAE are implementing AI employees across functions.
  • AI employees are multilingual: over 80 different languages.
  • Hospitals and public sector organizations save several thousand dollars every month.
  • No jobs have been lost to AI employees in our client companies, says CozmoX’s CEO.
  • While jobs are being lost in some countries worldwide, the focus in the UAE is on reskilling and upskilling.
  • The UAE government is currently investing in education in AI to prepare workers for the future.

The emergence of AI employees is changing the UAE jobs landscape. While there are fears of job loss elsewhere, it is clear from the UAE case that with the right approach, AI can allow existing human productivity to be dramatically increased while creating new opportunities. The future of work in the UAE is certainly bright, with a collaborative effort toward higher achievement.
