July 2, 2025 | Dubai, UAE – The coming month will bring in a wave of UAE major updates for July 2025 across visas, workplace norms and government workers. The new regulations will cover a diverse range across fields from new visa pacts to expanding Emiratisation in parts ofthe UAE major updates for July 2025. There will also be encouragement from officials towards remote working schedules due to the scorching heat in the region.

The government has also outlined some public health protocols in the UAE, major updates for July 2025 to ensure the well-being of its citizens. 

  1. UAE Residents Don’t Need a Visa To Enter Armenia

Being in effect from the first day is the one of the most important UAE major updates for July 2025. Armenia has waived its visa for UAE citizens, extending the travel privileges that earlier benefited only Emirati public.

  • Previously UAE citizens had a Visa on arrival, hence the new decision eases the commute significantly. 
  • The tourist must remember to carry all UAE residency permits valid for at least six more months from the date they land.
  • They can also stay up to 90 days on 180 days for business or tourism.
  1. Emiratisation Deadline Knocks On Private Firms

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced June 30 as the final date for private firms with 50+ employees to follow their mid-year Emiratisation targets. 

  • Under this, the company will have to employ Emiratis as 1% of their workforce, to ensure local representation in the private sector. 
  • The firms must also ensure proper enrollment of Emiratis and timely contributions. 
  • In case of failure, the firms will be charged Dh9000 per month for the inability to fulfil said conditions.
  1. “Our Flexible Summer” Would Be Followed In Dubai

Built on last year’s trail spanning across 21 government entities, this UAE major update for July 2025 says that till September 12, 2025, Dubai employees will have two summer shift options:

  • 8-hour work days from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays off for an extended weekend.
  • 7 hours a day from Monday to Thursday, and a half day, 4.5-hour shift on Fridays.
  1. Summer Work Model In Ajman

According to UAE major updates for July 2025, from today, all government personnel in Ajman will be adopting a revised summer work model aimed at increasing comfort and flexibility. This will go on till August 22. 

  • The work hours will be reduced from 7:30 to 14:30. 
  • Friday will be fully remote. 
  • They have also been directed that the critical public service shall remain functional through internal arrangements. 
  1. Infectious Disease Law to Pass In July

UAE major updates for July 2025 take public health into account by implementing a new infectious disease legislation which says:

  • That any individual diagnosed or suspected of having a communicable disease must avoid all interactions that might facilitate.
  • They are also prohibited from commuting except for medical reasons and only with prior permission from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). 
  • Concealing or contributing to any disease spread, by negligence or otherwise, is forbidden.
  1. Tobacco-Free Nicotine Pouch To Be Legalised

From July 29, the UAE will permit the purchase of tobacco-free nicotine pouches to support reducing tobacco smoking.

  • The product would deliver nicotine without tobacco
  • It’ll release dopamine in the brain to help with cravings and withdrawal symptoms. 
  • Even though nicotine is addictive, the law aims to aid quitting, not promote usage.
  1. Summer Childcare Options During School Breaks

The summer break dates set by the Ministry of Education, KHDA (Dubai), or ADEK (Abu Dhabi), typically begin from early July till late August. The UAE major updates for July 2025 suggests following recreations: 

  • Most working parents use this period to enrol their students in Summer Camps.
  • The parents stay back due to high travel charges or work pressure, hence they avail of the camps. 
  • While others use the vacations to travel to cooler destinations or meet extended families.

  1. Annual Mid-Day Ban For Outdoor Workers

UAE’s annual midday ban will take place from June 15 to September 15 

  • Outdoor labour under direct sunlight from 12:30 to 15:00 is banned. 
  • If caught violating companies will face a fine of Dh5000 per worker and  Dh 50,000 for repeated breaches.
