UAE National MMA Championship 6 Ends In Al Ain With Performances On High Level

Dubai- UAE: The UAE National MMA Championship in the sixth edition saw the end of two days of high competition with the conclusion that was done on Sunday at UAE University. The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation organised the event and attracted the best talents of clubs and academies in the country.

The last day involved Youth A (1617 years old) and Adults (18 years and over) bouts and was the official end of the first championship of the new season. The Opening Event of the New Season: a Fine Finish.

Technical Advancement And Competitive Spartanism At Work

The final day provided highly competitive and technologically advanced fights, demonstrating the evident advancements in physical training and choice of strategy in fights that the sportsmen have achieved. The rivals proved to be disciplined, controlled, and tactical, employing a great variety of methods and making clear decisions during the decisive moments to win.

It was also observed that there was a significant improvement in the management and composure of fights, which was an indicator of the maturity of the UAE national MMA championship industry.

Clubs And Academies Propel The Development Of The Athletes

The UAE national MMA championship also emphasized the importance of the clubs and academies in the preparation of the athlete. Organized training programmes and regular exposure to competition is assisting the athletes to acquire some experience, hone skills and be ready to take part in the local and international activities in the future according to the long term development plan of the Federation.

Championship Standards Are Praised At Federation Leadership

His Excellency, Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, who is the Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, complimented the quality of the UAE national MMA championship competition, especially the Youth A and Adults competition.

These end of the year competitions were an indication of the high level of technical efficiency achieved by the championship especially in the Youth A and Adults categories that are central to exposing the athletes to the next level of competition.

He also said that the variety of fighting styles and the intensity of the fights illustrates the efficiency of the organization of developing athletes at the club and academies.

The sixth edition is following the success of the previous championships and the progress in the organisation and the quality of competitions is going on. It is also an excellent platform to evaluate the readiness of the athletes, their skills of functioning under pressure, and contributes to the long-term development in accordance with the sport perspectives.

Coaches Videotape MMA Developments In The UAE

The coach of the ADMA Academy Abdullah Mohammad Aljabbareen highlighted the gradual rise of the mixed martial arts sport in the country.

The growth per year of the UAE national MMA championship is demonstrated by the level presented by athletes. Competitions such as these empower technical advances and promote a high competitive spirit, he said.

He observed that increased participation and better organisation has made the environment healthy in competition thus providing the coaches with adequate insights in the run up to the future events.

Youth A Champion Reminisces Gold Medal Victory

Such a success was expressed by Maryam Al Marzooqi of ADMA Academy who won the gold in the Youth A bantamweight category. She said in order to compete in this category, one has to be highly focused and make fast decisions at critical points of the fight.

The UAE National MMA Championship will be a significant step in shaping my level, exploring the knowledge that I have learned during training, and defining specific objectives on achieving the next level, particularly by fighting against such good competition and different styles.

The Season Ahead Is Based On A Strong Foundation

The UAE National MMA Championship 6 was able to launch the new season with impressive performances in all divisions. The event strengthened its position as one of the major talent identification forums, evaluation of performance, and further development of the mixed martial arts in the UAE.
