The rating of the UAE passport ranking has just reached an milestone that could not be predicted ten years ago. According to the Henley Passport Index, the UAE Passport holds 8th Rank as of October 2025, sharing the spot with Canada, Estonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, and the United Kingdom. This also means as of October 2025, UA inhabitants can travel to 184 countries without a visa, or get a visa on arrival.

The UAE’s success can be celebrated as well as the one and only Arab country to break into the world’s top 10 passports.

The UAE passport ranking wasn’t always this impressive. Back in 2015, the UAE ranked 42nd globally with visa-free access to only 35 countries.

Fast forward to today, and the UAE passport ranking has surged 34 places in just one decade – the biggest climb ever recorded in the Henley Passport Index’s 20-year history.

That passport ranking leap in UAE didn’t come by chance. The improvements seen in the UAE passport rankings are the results of the decades of diplomatic vision, bilateral negotiations, and visa exemptions implementing.
