July 23, 2025 | Dubai, UAE – Data for UAE weather forecasts, on July 23, expects the temperatures to drop in the following days. The UAE weather forecasts, today onward will witness a brief cool down over the coming days. The temperatures might drop by four to five degrees before surging again.

Recently, changing weather brought unstable summer heat to parts of the country. Abu Dhabi and Dubai experienced heavy dust storms, hazy, unclear skies, and isolated rainfall but cooler weather was reported in these cities, among others. The recent dust storms caused poor visibility in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on Sunday and Monday.

Word Of Authorities For The UAE Weather Forecasts

Dr. Ahmed Habib, a meteorologist at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), states that winds coming from north west would cause a temperature drop of about 4-5 degrees in the UAE weather forecasts for the following days as well. Effects will be especially noted in Abu Dhabi. He also mentioned that while all coastal areas would experience cooler weather, the most specific major drop will be first experienced in the western region before affecting other parts of the country, including Dubai.

This week, moderate to heavy rainfall was reported in certain areas in Dubai and Abu Dhabi:

  1. Margham region
  2. Al Dhafrah region
  3. Parts of Al Ain include:
    1. Umm Ghaffa
    2. Al Faqa Um Al Zumoul
    3. Khatm Al Shiklah.

The authorities have issued orange and yellow alerts in selected areas such as Al Ain, warning the residents about the potential hazardous weather. Authorities also requested caution during outdoor activities.

The alert issued by NCM states, “Precautions should be taken during strong convective cloud activity associated with rainfall and strong descending wind over some internal areas. Loose objects and weak structures may become hazardous due to the strong winds and can reduce horizontal visibility, please stay away from areas of accumulated rain.”

Experts also note that the UAE weather forecasts are reflecting a high probability to continue in the coming days with a highly active weather system anticipated around July 25-26.

Science Behind The Shifting UAE Weather

Dr Ahmed Habib, meteorologist at the NCM said, “This is a normal phenomenon happening around this time of the year. It typically occurs from mid-July to mid-August, with alternating days of active weather and light or no rainfall.”

According to the senior meteorologist Dr. Habib, the recent volatility in the conditions of the UAE weather forecasts is resulting from several different atmospheric factors such as:

  1. A low-pressure system moving in from the east
  2. Moist air coming from the Arabian Sea
  3. The seasonal shift of  ITCZ

The Intertropical Convergence Zone, or ITCZ, is a region near the equator, circling the globe, where winds from the northern and southern hemispheres meet. This causes warm air to rise and form clouds and thunderstorms. The belt tends to move slightly north or south depending on the season. It moves south in January and February, but during July and August, it shifts to the north, influencing weather across tropical regions.

Dr. Habib also explained that the UAE is experiencing low-pressure, combined with humid air and disturbances in the upper atmosphere. He said that the system had first impacted Oman before moving into the UAE through its eastern border in Suweihan, following it into Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

What To Expect Next

However, this pattern will shift. UAE weather forecasts result from influences due to the arrival of the winds through the northwest and a high-pressure system from the north, which is stabilising conditions.

Similar weather conditions will occur on July 24, becoming more active on the next two days, July 25 & 26. However, the UAE weather forecasts will offer a respite with low or no chances of rain, according to Dr. Habib.

UAE weather forecasts for today will follow a calm mid-week, but the conditions may intensify by the weekend. Experts say that July 25–26 will have an active phase with southerly winds, increased humidity, a temperature rise to 49°C, with dusty and sandy conditions.
